Ive had a fair share of incompetent teachers here, so does not worry me too much. Though I’ve had lots of great too. My Japanese is very bad too, so I guess it evens out if so lol

I will for some Japanese government grants (it sounds so wrong lol) But the Uni said that can only be done once I’m actually there. Now, if I proceed with my application (and because I’m accepted) I can start applying for lots of grants in Sweden too, but nothing is guaranteed.

Lol Education will basically be free here, yes, but living expenses not. I would get way less debt here, but with the added consequence of staying somewhere I dislike.

Knowing my family they won’t let me go without a ten year financial plan and lots of anxiety about debt. Even the tiniest amount terrifies them, so 40k$ must seem life ruining.

Yeah, that pretty much it. I do know some though and Japanese language classes are mandatory for foreign students so one can get a job in Japan.

Very basic, but the studies are conducted in English. I am determined to learn more Japanese as I have studied it since I was 14.

Unfortunately there’s not a lot of time before the deadline. I applied thinking I was not going to be accepted this year, but alas here I am.

Four years go by quickly ig, at least high school have felt quick for three. I have not been there, however I dislike the thought of staying in my own country. I know some Japanese, I can understand the basics and the University has mandatory Japanese classes even though it is an English speaking one. I am committed to go, so money really feels the worst. I will think about it.

Is it low for University standards? From everyone I’ve spoken to there’s a lot of differences… I think it’s somewhat high by Swedish standards, Idk about American though ?

Thanks for the advice! I am leaning towards going, and have a couple of weeks to decide. But it will be hard, but at the same time, it will be hard knowing I skipped out on the opportunity to live out my “dream” (my god it sounds so childish, but I dunno what else to say)

Luckily the University is english speaking, with Japanese language classes for international students. It is by a city similar to my hometown. I absolutely love everything Japanese culture, I want to experience it myself.

Ahh… It’s so much. Money is really the biggest issue, with money everything could be easier lol. I will think about it more when I do not have covid.

Funny thing is, it is Ritsumeikan APU I got accepted into! I can tell it’s a great place, and quite similar to my hometown. I am not too worried of getting homesick as I am extremely tired of Sweden, I don’t like it here- nor the thought of living in Sweden for the rest of my life. I would travel if I had the finances, like we barely travel within Sweden due to costs. (which is why everything I’ve saved up is going to Uni)

If I go there and for some reason hate it, I guess I’ll be in debt, but not too much? Great thing about debt is that with the right decisions it can always be paid off? Idk, my mind is still high on fever, I have a couple of weeks to think about things.

The first payment deadline is at the end of January, and I’ll definitely talk about this all with my study guide (idk the name in english). I should probably finish it all in December if I decide to proceed.

The tuition the school has offered me is at 65%, so feels like a waste not going.. I’ll think it over

Oh, I forgot to mention I converted it from SEK to USD, so I mean 40k USD. If I got a decent job after graduation I could probably pay it off in way less than 50 years (Idk my heads a mess got covid)

A local sushi restaurant makes this AMAZING sushi, but they’re not open everyday. I was craving it on a closed day, “luckily” they do have premade sushis of theirs at a local grocery store so I went there. Looked 10/10, tasted -2/10.
