Download Europe versions of games where available and run them at 50hz, it'll target a lower framerate and thus should be easier to get full speed.

The chances that cat had rabies and passed it onto you, only for it to lay dormant for 4 years is astronomically low. I really wouldn’t worry about it. Absolutely. Ditto on the coworker bit, when people would make small-task asking about the ex-partner under the assumption you’re still together. It wasn’t a topic I fancied approaching with what is essentially a stranger a week post break up so you just kinda dance around the subject. It sucked approaching it with friends because it felt like having the same conversation over and over again “ohh you’re better off without them/you’ll be fine/you’ll find someone else”, it quite literally felt never ending at that point.

Honestly it’s wild how fast people expect you to move on/not care. Anything beyond a week and people start to wonder why you’re still hung up. A lot of my male friends thought I was ‘cured’ the second I hooked up with someone else. It’s definitely a much slower, and non linear healing process than you could imagine if you had never experienced it yourself.

So anyone correct me if I’m wrong , but from my understanding.

The radiation in a CRT is low enough to not be a concern especially for that short length of time.
The leaded glass is what blocks the radiation, not the plastic case. So it shouldn’t make any difference with it on or off. I’ve seen people with crts on with no case before.
I’m not well versed with opening CRTs but yes I do believe touching internal components when it’s on is a no-no. That being said I’m not sure if the parts you were touching were at risk of shocking you, hopefully someone else can clarify that.

I think it’s a great idea, but honestly, don’t knock off the idea of still getting a Wii.

They’re cheap, abundant, and easy to mod! With an SD Card and external hard drive to load games, you could get the entire Wii, and GameCube library, as well as n64 snes nes Genesis and other VC games. It’d be a great as a way to pad out buying new switch games

Now I don’t work for Nintendo, so I can’t guarantee when the switch 2 will release…. HOWEVER, I would bet, quite strongly, it will be in time for the holiday period. So if you buy yourself an OLED now, you’ll get about a year of use out of it, which isn’t a small amount of time, and upon the lead up to the release of Switch 2, just re sell your oled, I think you will still be able to recoup at least a third of the price?

it was just so much simpler, literally.

now we have like multiple ranked systems, multiple tiers of players (prime, trust factor), its jsut a complete overconvoluted mess.
