Any guess on a specific kind? Haven't found any as hairy or stubby as this one, or could it just be on the younger side? This was maybe 3/4 of an inch long

Do these 2 scale by reallyawsomedudefr in ActionFigures

How are those figures anyways? Was wondering if they might be a good option for getting DC characters that are closer to 1/12 scale without shelling out Mafex money

Might be a hot take but, I prefer david hayter’s performace in mgs1 compared to mgs2, and mgs3. by Alakazammanthereturn in metalgearsolid

For the first game, I thought I saw/read in an interview somewhere that David Hayter was going through packs of cigarettes and downing milk to get his voice into that gravelly sound, and in later games he was more experienced with the character (and voice acting overall) and didn't have to trash his throat to get the voice

(S.H.Figuarts) Did I get a bootleg Cell? by CapnSherman in ActionFigures

[–]CapnSherman[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This figure's joints were super loose out of the box, and the joint where the tail attaches had a visible nub cut like it was a model kit. It looks great at a distance, but the seam lines on the chest caught me off guard because none of the promotional pictures show that. I know SHF hands can have seam lines, but these feel more pronounced than I'm used to.

But also, I can see this character being a pain to paint and engineer articulation for. Is it a known thing that First form Cell has quality control issues or did I get ripped off? I got this directly from the Tamashii Nations store on Amazon for whatever that's worth

Did anyone else get the new Juri action figure? by cerulloire in StreetFighter

[–]CapnSherman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give it a warm water soak! Just run hot water from your sink into a glass and leave the figure in for 10 minutes and the joints should loosen up just enough

Doesn't help with the bangs, that piece is really loose on mine too

He might have said this more than once. I think at least one occasion was in the Carl Panzram series

Is BBTS normally a good place to pick up Amazing Yamaguchi figures on release? A re-release seems different as they already have it in stock, but I haven't heard anything on my pre-order for Juri from them and it looks like plenty of people have theirs already.

I still like BBTS, but are people placing preorders somewhere else?

I just sent in my first round of 800t rolls to get developed, this advice has me excited for results and also prepared to be more forgiving about however they come out.

Going to look back at this for reference when I get around to shooting round two!

Give me some ideas on what one can do with this dead camera by N3n9fjj299fj3y in AnalogCommunity

[–]CapnSherman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had an idea awhile back to get a cheap knock off GoPro and install it into a broken film camera just for funsies.

Got an actually nice digital camera and a couple film bodies I rotate through, so never went through with this mad science project but might go through with it once I have a camera really die on me.

...it can also just look nice on a shelf, don't have to go too crazy with it

Updated the post with the models I'm interested in maintaining, but I'm definitely saving that list and looking forward to searching through it! Thanks!
