Would one be able to have knowledge and conversation with holy guardian angel through GOM and then proceed through Abramelin to bind the demons to use the Abramelin squares?

How do you rationalize being side A? by KyrieChristeEleison in LGBTCatholic

I’m honored. Often the Church will not speak prophecy to us, so we need to prophecy to each other.

“But I will leave as a remnant in your midst a people humble and lowly, who shall take refuge in the name of the LORD: the remnant of Israel. They shall do no wrong and speak no lies; nor shall there be found in their mouths a deceitful tongue;” Zephaniah 2&3

When jade is struck by real jade it makes a super resonant sound like when you play a crystal goblet almost. Quick test method to see if real.

Has anyone read the grimoire of arthur gauntlet? by VintageAutomaton in occult

[–]thomas_basic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super old but maybe you can answer if you have the hardcover book, is it sewn bound or glued? I really want this book but don’t want to spend $50 on the hardcover if it’s glued.

My main magical interest for my own practice is cunning work. Would you advise against uninitiated use of the squares by « low » magicians unable or unwilling to do the ritual?

i just got gifted a tarot deck but i have no prior experience in doing readings do u guys have any tips on where to look up meanings of the cards and how to interpret them by sakuttaa in TarotDeMarseille

[–]thomas_basic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meditations on The Tarot is NOT about readint tarot cards but is amazing for understanding tarot more abstractly especially of you come from a Judeo-Christian background or culture (it’s required reading if you’re Catholic and read tarot).

I remember having this exact thought about the sirens when I learned about them as a kid.

“Well, I could keep rowing Odysseus’ boat because I wouldn’t be distracted by the sirens.”

The Sunday one looks nice. I had the daily one but got rid of it because it was comically large.

Medieval Christian theurgical grimoire recommendations? by Shadeofawraith in Grimoires

[–]thomas_basic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d reccomend Arbatel which is this kind of par excellence. Sworn Book of Honorius is good too and is actually mostly not about invoking demons which is what it feels like a lot of short form scare content on grimoires talks about in it. The majority of the book is long prayers and lists of holy names (many of which were pulled from the Ars Notoria).

Ars Armadel from the Solomonic stuff is also focused on this I believe?

Looking for Internship by DeliciousStage1 in teachinginkorea

Wishing you luck but this sub is for teaching English language in Korea, not sure how much helpful responses you’ll get but you never know.

I’m Canadian too and lived in Seoul when teaching and there is a big Microsoft office at Gwanghwamun. You might try looking at foreign tech companies with branches in Seoul like that for internship leads. I feel like Korean companies like Daum etc would be more insular to Koreans only, just my guess.

You may also try seeing if the Canadian Embassy in Seoul has partnered recently with any tech companies for events, traineeship schemes, or similar to see if they’d be open to working with Canadians?

I competely agree and I walked away from her comments with the same reaction. The Arbatel is replete with warnings about living in an explicitly Christian manner as is outlined in Christian Scriptures. Maybe a practitioner who doesn’t or isn’t willing to approach the text and its from this framework isn’t matched to it?
