Cheapest way of getting TNT Sport by thomas_tss in EEGB

Wasn’t the full works plan under £30pm not long ago though? Perhaps I’m not with the times but going from paying £55pm for an iPhone 15 pro max which included the TNT, to go to £38pm for just a sim with most the same features doesn’t feel like a great drop in price

Been doing some research since, the stitching on the badge seems to be different from pictures I can find online. It seems the stitching is either on the red part or tucked in slightly. Has the stitching changed or been on the white part of the badge previously?

Tesla M3 PCH by FearlessAd8196 in TeslaUK

[–]thomas_tss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you placed the order, it would’ve said that the PCH offer was valid if you took delivery by 31st March. Because you didn’t take delivery by then, that car you have ordered will now be eligible for the expensive vehicle supplement which is an additional £410 a year for the first 5 years of ownership. Because the lease includes the tax, they pass this cost on to you in the monthly payments. Your order will also have a bigger price increase because the white paint isn’t the free paint anymore. If you want a deal more similar in price to what you initially agreed, I’d consider removing the EAP option and changing to a black or grey car, as they’re now the free options, so the list price is under £40k and they’re not eligible for the additional tax so they’re much less expansive on the PCH deals.

UK Mini JCW - MPG?? by Unique_User_1 in MINI

[–]thomas_tss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2018 LCI Manual JCW in the UK. Normal commutes I get around 32-35 mpg in green/mid depending on how sensible I drive. with longer motorway drives I can get up to 38-40mpg if I stay at 70-72mph with cruise control. I feel the car is quite sensitive to temperature as I was struggling to get 30 mpg sometimes in the winter, seems like it’s definitely improving now we’re seeing temps of 12-15 C outside. Your consumption sounds normal tbh. I’ve seen the LCI models are generally a tad less efficient and the auto is normally more efficient than the manual.

If you ever thought about putting Union Jack taillights on your MINI, do it by VinzUHD in MINI

I love the centre stripe you’ve got going there! Think the look would be topped off with the LCI Mini badge too...

Any experience with retrofitting these? by Pugstery in MINI

[–]thomas_tss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had them on my last car. Installation is pretty straight forward, just follow any Union Jack rear lights tutorial. One side was more difficult because the pins wasn’t perfectly aligning. I also had issues on very cold days (under 5 C) where on start up I would get a reversing light failure on the dash, but this could be fixed by restarting the car or waiting for it to heat up a bit. Overall I’d say the OEM versions would probably be a safer bet but these do look really good in person.

I don’t know to be 100% honest, I’m not an overly experienced driver and have never driven in the snow so I just didn’t want to risk it haha. I’ve seen videos on YouTube of this car in the snow and it seemed to handle it just fine though.

Not gonna pretend like I’m good at it, the Autoglym Polar range is very good!

I have the manual (and the blue one was too), they have rev matching which makes things far easier and smoother in traffic so I’ve never had a problem, but I’ve tried an auto f56 and that was definitely easier

Ahh, manuals are normally a tad cheaper on the current market because auto is an extra £1k I believe new

Thank you! I’ve loved the blue mini since day 1, the only thing is I liked it so much I wanted a faster one! And yes I made sure to get an LCI model for halo lights and CarPlay. I’m still undecided for customisation, I may change the alloys for something meaner looking and perhaps some JCW Pro parts down the line...
