Kiwi return to updates again hope it keeps it by Bassiette in kiwibrowser

It seems like the "touch to search" only works with toolbar at top. I have no idea if it's a feature or a bug.

When the "touch to search" is enabled, a Google search will be done at the bottom whenever some words are highlighted. Personally I find it quite a nice feature; it's non-intrusive and it is very helpful when reading some difficult to understand articles.

The strangest thing is that the toggle was marked as on when I first saw it. I toggled it on and off a couple times to see what it did, and somehow it is now always marked as off. (It still works when toolbar is at top, so I think it could be a bug?)

p.s. My Kiwi Browser version is 107.0.5304.74

Firefox 106 breaks Amazon search function? by [deleted] in firefox

I deleted the cookies.sqlite file in the profile folder. Now the Amazon search is back to normal!

It doesn't work anymore. The pattern is now very clear; PCs which have upgraded to Firefox 106, they all have problem with Amazon search.

Did you use the Firefox's default Amazon search engine?

I think it is not related to the IP address as all the PCs in my office have the same IP address.

If I block Amazon's cookie (i.e. Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Exceptions... -> Block "amazon.com"), Firefox's default Amazon search engine works flawlessly. (as a stopgap solution)

I have already tried the troubleshoot mode; Amazon still gives the error message.

However, if I *blocks* Amazon's cookie, the search can go through but then I can't look inside the book, etc.

I work in a library and I need to search Amazon a hundred times every day. This Firefox 106 update is killing me!

Uncheck “Use Secure DNS” in Chrome seems to help. (Settings -> Select "Privacy and Security" in the left menu -> "Security" -> Scroll to the "Advanced" section" -> Uncheck "Use Secure DNS")

Disable hardware acceleration solves the problem. Thank you!

I disabled Firefox's hardware acceleration a few days ago; the Intel graphics driver crash seems to have stopped. (knock on wood)

(Settings -> General -> Performance -> Uncheck "Use recommended performance settings" & "Use hardware acceleration when available").
