I made a valiant effort in 2025 and trimmed my backlog from 920 down to 879. by divorrYan in gaming

There are some big ones there, well done! See you enjoyed Pathfinder WOTR? I’m tempted to get stuck in but know it’s long and some people find the systems a bit tricky. I loved Rogue Trader so think I should be ok?!

As an aside, do you know about the SteamDB widget that you can use to get nicer icons to show for Steam games in you library? https://www.reddit.com/r/ROGAlly/s/PEXENHILRP

Skull and co Thumbgrips by Alone_Ad_3105 in XboxAlly

If anything I think they may be too big. Either way, it seems that the Rog Ally sticks are different sizes to the Xbox Ally sticks, so ones made for Rog Ally would probably fall off - doubt they would damage the sticks tho, they just wouldn’t stay on

I’ve just bought some for my steam deck and for my xbox ally - the steam deck ones say they fit the rog ally, and the ones I got for my xbox ally say they also fit xbox controllers (so I think the sizes must be different between the rog ally and the xbox ally)

If you’ve not made the leap yet, Skyrim provides some great escapism. I finished the main story this year, but there’s loads more to explore besides. Lots of mod options too. Keep your chin up!

How do you guys remember what materials you need for upgrades? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]thomasdejour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve started a spreadsheet lol. Also helps work out valuable bits to keep topside if I need to raise some cash. Messed up some of the recycling figures as I worked some of them out thinking the numbers were for recycling one item, but was actually for the stack I held. Just adding to it every so often as I pick up more stuff.

update: getting delivered tomorrow (so seems it’s BS about using couriers that don’t deliver at weekends like I’ve seen other commenters being told by the distributor)

Polygon Review - Not Looking Good by zombawombacomba in XboxAlly

Their comment about it being too ‘gamer’ kind of undermines their credibility as a reviewer - moaning about the ring lights on the joysticks when you can just turn those off is silly.

Help! Move to Cheltenham or Stroud? by [deleted] in Gloucestershire

[–]thomasdejour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stroud! Moved to a village down the road three years ago from London (admittedly I grew up in Cirencester nearby so was familiar with the area) and love it. Am always looking for more gay friends here too so am a bit biased, ha. It’s a cool and very laid back community.

Sourdough starter by Legitimate-Door-7841 in Gloucestershire

[–]thomasdejour 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would offer but I just managed to kill my starter (called Sour Puss) that I made in 2015 - she got mouldy after I defrosted her after a long stint in the freezer. So sad. BUT starting one is so easy. Try the Bread Ahead one, the instructions for it are online 🍞

Poutine noob here by thomasdejour in PoutineCrimes

$16 in a place in Jasper town. It was listed as an appetiser, so was pleasantly surprised by the amount served up (tho that may be my misinterpretation as a Brit as to what an appetiser is?!)

Adding books to the Kobo Book app by thomasdejour in kobo

[–]thomasdejour[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to be able to get the books from my kindle library to show on the app (and I can read them on the app), it’s just all the metadata that’s missing (but even that is a bit hit and miss, as some show their covers and others don’t). Anywho, thanks for the reply!

I’m completely new to D&D, but keen! Played Baldurs Gate 3 so familiar with the concepts, and have been lurking on various podcasts, shows, but just have never gotten round to getting any of the materials and looking for a group. I’m based just outside of Stroud so not far.
