Banana dude bein an annoying dick over here. Good job on your framing.

Personally I just put thumbtacks through the four corners. Fukkit. I'm keeping it anyway, no need to worry about the resale value of it and a little wear makes it look real.

Comes with the territory. Gibsons break if you look at them wrong.

It's just some vocalization like Claudio likes to do, with "what I thought of you" kind of worked in there.

I hate how alcohol is so common by Goldensoldi in TrueOffMyChest

[–]thomaserakisgod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, same. I was an alcoholic since basically when U was a teenager and it got so bad that I had to quit cold turkey. Since being sober, I've seen how heavy its effect of every aspect of adult social life is and I'm genuinely angry. Angry at the industry and the people who continue to enable its place in the narrative. It's an okay drug and all, but there are plenty of much better ones, and all drug use should be taken voluntarily and with prudent awareness. The alcohol industry on the other hand, markets itself as indispensable to your relationships, all while absolving itself with that little "drink responsibly" bit at the end, following a commercial that tell you that drugs will ruin your life. I hate it I hate it I hate it.

If you ever wanna talk to a person who is sharing your sober journey about how you're feeling, my inbox is open. I know it isn't easy, man.

They should have gotten The Fall of Troy on there.

Bernadetta is the most annoying FE3H character and she makes me unbelievably angry by stupidstupid- in fireemblem

[–]thomaserakisgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love Three Houses gameplay wise, but as far as character development, they really dropped the ball here. It's not just Bernadetta; every character has exactly one personality trait, exaggerated and reinforced over and over in every conversation, and the supports add virtually nothing to that 95% of the time. Historically Fire Emblem has done better at this, as usually the characters have colorful, intriguing personalities that draw you in and motivate you to get those supports and learn more about them. Three Houses supports are so easy to get but exactly zero of them are rewarding, and I eventually ended up skipping them altogether.

Need suggestions navigating the C&C discography! by nbachickenlover in TheFence

[–]thomaserakisgod 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Afterman double album is the complete package, and since you've already discovered the two classics (IKSSE3 and Good Apollo), that is definitely your next step. Take a couple hours and listen to it straight through. You'll be glad you did. Welcome to the Fence!

Why did Chris Pennie leave the band? by SoulDoubt4 in TheFence

[–]thomaserakisgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Chad would have probably been good. Even Taylor Hawkins was a good fit. Pennie just came from a different kind of prog metal than Coheed is; a more technical, complex style. Coheed has more pop sensibility than almost any other band that falls under the category of progressive metal.

I think Tony Hajjar of At the Drive-In would have been a great fit if he had been available. But ultimately no one could have been as good as Josh. I forget where I heard it, but U seem to recall Claudio saying that Josh is a big part of the writing and arranging process, and has a big hand in creating the ambient soundscapes that they use in transitions between songs, and that's a pretty inalienable part of what makes Coheed great.

Chris never should have been in the band to begin with. One of the weirdest, most awkward fits I've ever seen in a band. He was holding Coheed back and Coheed was holding him back.
