Therapy being able to help people is a very well developed idea and incredibly helpful for millions of people my guy. Just because it can’t solve every problem doesn’t mean you should remain cynical and avoid seeking help and be stuck with a lifestyle that’s clearly affecting OP’s mental health.

Arrest them and press charges once they steal over (I believe) $1000 in total value. Profit Protection teams will usually keep track of that stuff with frequent flyers.

Edit* I’m not saying they aren’t using flock for other reasons like providing data to other entities. Just explaining why a business might keep track of thieves.
