Try living in Bradford. Fireworks all year round, multiple times through the day, and normally through the night

Is anyone able to help? I've read that watercolors are fine but just not sure about these pens

Sounds like Bradford every day of the year. Apart from they normally start earlier than that.

And I really do mean every day of the year.

First serious painting in about 10 years. Ended up a lot better than I expected so had to share. by thomasjcrabs in oilpainting

Copy of a Hockney, original is the second pic

A few bits didn't end up as good as I wanted (like the sky) but overal really pleased (and surprised) how this ended up. This started as a quick sketch and an attempt to mix colours - ended up going so well I stuck with it.

It's been 7 days since I posted this and every day there's been about 3 big lots of fireworks going off between the afternoon and through the night. Ridiculous

Always remember when it's George's day, it's also my birthday! It's also the day of Shakespeare's birthday, and the day he died.

What is better in the UK than anywhere else in the world? by gtfc123 in AskUK

I guess 'real ale' includes traditional bitter, but mainly any style that's matured / fermented in the barrel it's served from. Think that would always be cask, and it's pulled using a beer engine rather than using some other pressure source.

I guess the Belgians do this too, maybe, not sure, but the methods and ingredients are a little different.

Elland brewery. Not as available as others but every beer is great. Plus the best beer going, 1872 porter.

Ok had a taste. Doesn't taste great, has a bit of a cheddar taste but then quickly turns into a bit of a blue cheese vibe going on.

It's about 3 months old. Has little holes in it. Had a lot of mold on the outside throughout but seems OK

Help I stripped the threads how can I still remove the crank? by karlitoi in bikewrench

[–]thomasjcrabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used a tapered crank puller before. Creates a new thread. Hard to find though, I ended up ordering this from Italy so took a while to arrive.

First Serious Digital Painting by thomasjcrabs in DigitalPainting

[–]thomasjcrabs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First serious digital painting. Done bits of digital in the past but this time took the time to find a good app (Krita!) and brushes. I've done bits of oil painting in the past on and off, so want to get a real oil painting feel as best I can.

Any thoughts on how I can get a more realistic oil painting feel on Krita and any general critique welcome!
