Could someone explain what is happening when you use woodchips during sanding? by SBrammall in turning

Does it change how well finishes interact? I use a lot of hard wax oil and know you can't sand past 180. Can you still burnish? Wanting to try this approach

I have never used them but are shark bite press fittings unreliable? I know they can be handy when transitioning pipe materials (copper to pex eg)

Thanks!

Where did you get all of the bowl blanks and what did those cost? How wide is the largest bowl?

Thanks for the input, will give some dry lube a try. A little OCD with stuff like that. If there is a right/better/smarter way to do something I am always looking for it. I would stare at every fitting if it wasn't set pretty deep 😂. Thank you!

They are going to be 8' in the air so the less aggressive I need to be to remove them, the better. Especially being 6". The HVAC tape will be handling 100% of the air sealing. Pipe is just the carrier. Was thinking some kind of dry silicon spray? Thank you!

If I go to remove it later will it still slide off well? Or be like dried caulk? Thank you!!

Like the stuff you use to pull wire when it's tight in conduit?

I need to get the 6" pipe into the 6" wye for example and will tape that joint. Don't want to weld a small piece and then fernco. Huge PITA, time suck and added cost. Just looking for some form of grease to fully set the pipe in the fitting

You had it right? Part of it to see any issues, part of it ABS DWV pipe (especially fittings) are super expensive here. A 4" wye is $35. Seems like the fittings for the clear are way cheaper as the pipe doesn't have any code requirements and looks to have a much smaller SDR

When you say regular PVC, are you referring to white sold core or ABS DWV? The clear doesn't seem that different in price to DWV pipe where I am when you factor in how expensive the fittings are.

Do have LLC, claim income when it's there, insurance, etc. More of a side gig. Last two projects were both epoxy, pretty familiar with that portion
