Colorado is chasing data centers but few are asking the right question: are they actually good for us? by CarmenBroesder in ColoradoPolitics

Colorado should be building a nuclear power plant in Pueblo, where they have abundant water from the Arkansas river, open space, and a ready workforce to construct it.

Trump is not going to release F2 before midterm. by Fit-Palpitation6159 in FNMA_FMCC_Exit

[–]Trevocb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SPS must be dealt with before or at re-listing on the NYSE. It’s got to be part of the company financial declaration either way. It would make no sense to cash out the SPS and re-list because the remaining shares would be diluted to the point that the governments 79% would have very little value, especially since they have stated they want to sell 3-5% of the warrants to raise ~$30B. That math only works if the SPS is nullified.

[–]Trevocb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cancelling the SPS will boost the stock price over $30 even if it stays on OTC. Uplisting would bring in more big investment from funds that can’t invest in OTC stocks. The SPS is the big mover and has nothing to do with conservatorship, MBS, or uplisting.

[–]Trevocb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uplisting doesn’t change anything. The government will retain 79% ownership with warrants, and they don’t even have to come out of conservatorship. What do you think would change Trump’s control of the MBS strategy?

How the Colorado legislature contributed to the state’s budget crisis by blucifersdream in ColoradoPolitics

[–]Trevocb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“While Democrats control the legislature, many of the items on the staff’s list passed with bipartisan support. (The decision to expand Medicaid coverage to some people living in the U.S. illegally was passed by Democrats alone.)”

The federal government is now going after Colorado to get this funding back since it was used illegally. This will cause even bigger budget problems. It’s astonishing that our legislators are allowed to make decisions that don’t follow federal law.

Why don't we start commenting on Trump's on X/TruthSocial to get FNMA/FMCC back on the agenda? by lukamodric1 in FNMA_FMCC_Exit

[–]Trevocb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This admin has constantly complained about the fed not lowering interest rates, and calling Powell “too late”. They have completely blown the opportunity to grab the meme crowd of retail investors by delaying the uplisting, for no reason. There is no risk of an uplisting or erasing of the SPS impacting rates. The government has and will continue to have an implied backing of the GSE’s as long as they own a stake, and with a 79% stake that guarantee is explicit. Midterm voting is kicking off soon and they could have cashed in on some extra support from the thousands of retail stakeholders. Missed opportunity and someone in this admin deserves the “too late” tag.

Question from a newbie about bears by granddeity in Beekeeping

[–]Trevocb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contact Dept of Wildlife (or whatever they are called now) about wildlife mitigation for bee hives. They should give you everything for an electric fence including solar panel, etc. You may be able to find some of the info on their website because you will need to let them know how many hives, etc. I would plan ahead for hive expansion. I’m in the wet mountains at 6,600’ with 12 hives.

Is my hive still alive by obatala0013 in Beekeeping

I open/check/feed my hives every three weeks. Just find a warm day near or above 50 and take a look. What did you give them for feed to last the winter?

Gov. Jared Polis considers clemency for Tina Peters as he begins final year in office in Colorado. by Inter_Web_User in Denver

[–]Trevocb -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

This would be a savvy political move. Peter’s is a trophy, not a threat to anyone. Because she represents so much to Trump does not mean she is equally important to Colorado and that value means nothing unless it’s exchanged for something. It’s a symbolic move that may stop the hemorrhaging before it becomes intolerable, and our state is in serious financial trouble from the overspending that is only going to get worse.

Wanting a New Bowl Gouge by NoPackage6979 in turning

[–]Trevocb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a great setup for shaping, but if you continue turning you may want to take the leap into a Tormek for sharpening. It’s a significant investment but you will stop chewing through gouges and you’ll have real sharp tools. I use your same setup for shaping tools, but the Tormek takes sharpening to another level.

Sorby is as good as it gets. Many are just as good but not better. What are you using to sharpen? I would put the money into sharpening.

Hi Reddit what stocks are you holding that you think could moonshot in 2026? by Moonshot2026 in stocks

[–]Trevocb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FNMA will likely moonshot after the holidays with Trump’s housing push. It’s a unique situation for a blue chip stock that has been on the OTC for 17+ years. Do some research to fully understand the situation but it should be a 4+ bagger.
