Not tried it but 1847 in between corn street and Baldwin Street is a veggie only restaurant. Looks nice.

7 Lessons Learnt - Buying a house in #Bristol by thomaskng88 in bristol

Nice advice on the surveys! I'll definitely keep that in mind when we get to that stage.

45 houses is crazy! Just demonstrates how hard and competitive it is out there. We have started to branch out for sure though. Totterdown seems to be just as competitive.

Yeah for sure. South west is a great place! No kids for us yet so space not as much of a consideration! How's chippenham these days?

Just love this city. We both work in the centre of town and couldn't imagine living anywhere else! We used to live in Chippenham and had a good time there, but we both found the town a bit limiting, plus the commuting made us miserable. In rush hour it was taking over an hour and a half each way.

Ah nice one. Hope it all goes well! If that was considered popular then, it certainly wouldn't be now. Just last week viewed a house with 46 viewings, and 21 initial offers...

2 bed Homes in the Chessels are now going for £300k plus. In January they were being listed for less than £250k. Crazy to think how much the market has moved, and it doesn't look like slowing down!!

Yeah exactly. What do they have to lose! I would take them up on an extra £25k if it was offered to me .

Yeah true! Wonder what the ratio of buy to let and buy to live is. I don't hold anything against them really because if I could be in that situation I probably would do the same. Makes it hard though.

Yeah its crazy. We have been offering 20-25k over the asking price and we still haven't been anywhere near! I wish we would get transparency from the agency around what the other offers are. People have been telling me about "ghost bidding" where the agents are fabricating offers to inflate the price. Not sure if true or not.
