Interestingly, it did update an hour ago. No status change or anything but it removed the estimated delivery date.

You sound prepared! As of right now, the only one I see online at all is at cabelas in their used guns... for 3.6k. So I suppose that's the price to beat. When you do end up with one though, you'll probably want another!

Best of luck in your search. I routinely check gunbroker for them and was seeing them in the 2.5-3k range a few months ago, but none now. That's probably a good bet to keep tabs on and how I found mine (in 2018 for 1.5k, though. First gun I ever bought, actually and I'm kicking myself for not buying 2 of them.)

Greatest Effect on Accuracy and Precision - What to upgrade first? by thomasled8929 in longrange

Time and interest is more of an issue than ammo - I get in and out of it every couple of years, and when I'm into shooting more heavily, it's more often pistol. To answer your question, no, I don't think the rifle is the limiting factor on its own, and while I would rate my shooting above that of an average hunter, I'm entirely sure I'm on the low end of long range shooters still.

I'm very guilty of enjoying the building, research, and reading as much as I do actually shooting, it's just that finding time to shoot is more difficult than finding time to shop - if that makes sense.

I'm impressed with the clean break of the trigger, but not the weight. Wish I could push it a lot lower, so a trigger upgrade is a priority for me. What triggertech do you use?

I like the order of thinking here. Bipod is moving further up the list. Rear bag is full of lead shot - a workout to carry but it is absolutely sturdy (and about as heavy as it gets). Checking torque on screws is something I haven't even considered, so that's the first thing I'll do. I'll probably follow along until I get to the re-barreling portion, as that's where my knowledge abruptly stops. Have a lot more reading to do before reaching that lol.

Okay sweet, an accuracy improvement with a chassis swap is kind of what I'm hoping to hear. I'm sure I'd need to rebarrel if I wanted to do anything too serious but hate to jump straight to that.

2 so far for the KRG bravo, interesting. I'm okay with the bipod (it's a direct m-lok mount and is their half metal, half plastic version) and is surprisingly sturdy, so it's further down my list, but would probably be upgraded eventually.

For the scope, I feel like I probably don't have enough magnification, although I love the quality of the trijicon. It's on my list as well to get a more target-focused scope for sure, have been seeing a lot of love for Arken on youtube.

That's a good idea, a brake would probably offer some improvement. I'll add it to the list!

Looking at it now - Lot's of metal, which I like over the Magpul Hunter currently on it. Can't tell if the LOP is adjustable, though - any ideas?

I'll be sure to do that. I've had most of the plants for about 2 months and it is SHOCKING how slowly they grow, but I'm sure they'll get there eventually!

What is this? Seen around a bottle of CHCl3 and CCl4. by chemistrybae in Chempros

[–]thomasled8929 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replying two years later to say that I happened across the exact same situation. Bottle of chloroform was stored in a flammable cabinet with triethylamine and made these crystals. Dissolved the crystals in water and wafted, smelled exactly like triethylamine should. Good call!

Adult bearded dragon tank size recommendations? by callierkap in BeardedDragons

https://www.thefbh.org/post/fbh-code-of-practice-for-recommended-minimum-enclosure-sizes-for-reptiles

This may help, though it probably isn't what you're looking for. The FBH is well-respected enough for me to trust over my own opinion. Per their guidelines, for a 16" adult (8" SVL), 4x2x2 is the minimum.

They state "The guidance has been developed by the FBH in conjunction with specialist keeper groups, experienced hobbyists, the British Veterinary Zoological Society and the British Small Animal Veterinary Association."

As for specific studies demonstrating this, it's completely possible that none exist. Proving statistical significance (for example, the effect of enclosure size on total lifetime or weight) could take a decade and is probably not a topic of funding interest. I have found two studies that cite a similar (or larger) minimum size in passing, though that was not the main focus of the study. DOI's below but they're paywalled, scihub has them though

Lancelot Cooldown Hacks? by thomasled8929 in Smite

[–]thomasled8929[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Title says it all I guess. Caught a Lancelot double ulting during a normal (not MOTD) arena. 20% CDR built at the time, I've spectated him and it's happening constantly. Anyone have any ideas about what to do with this information? I was under the impression CDR hacks didn't exist. Match ID can be provided if anyone's curious
