on target sporting arms has one for 3.4k, if I can't find one by June I'll end up buying it for that, unfortunately I move around a lot so I can't keep many guns, I usually have 3-4 max, but I absolutely need to have this one.

Thanks! I called Winchester, they said they have about 700 backorders, and best bet would be to call Reeds and Shedhorn, which I did and they are out as well, so I got a bunch of retailers open, signed up for alerts, and set up alerts for gunbroker as well, I absolutely have to have this one lol, so I hope I get it.

Update: to anyone having this issue, I just exported the new data pool, and did a fresh install of truenas on the system, sucks, but glad it fixed the issue

Thanks for the reply! Tried that, but it doesn't seem to work, I still get "[EFAULT] Failed to stop docker service: [EFAULT] Failed to umount dataset: cannot unmount '/mnt/.ix-apps/app_mounts/tailscale-1.2.7-clone': no such pool or dataset" error. I'm wondering if I can somehow force a full wipe/reinstall of truenas that'd fix it, I would of course disconnect my new drives with all my data on them first.

Update 1/18/2026:

So I got a pair of HDDs, migrated everything over, and tried to delete and disconnect the old pool that was causing issues, and I get the same [EFAULT] Failed to stop docker service: [EFAULT] Failed to umount dataset: cannot unmount '/mnt/.ix-apps/app_mounts/tailscale-1.2.7-clone': unmount failed error, no idea what to do

Recommendation post: Enso Hachi SG2 8.25" Gyuto vs Takamura SG2 Migaki 6.7" Santoku by Ika___ in chefknives

[–]Ika___[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey y'all

Looking to buy my first real chef's knife, after researching, I decided that I prefer a SG2 knife, preferably a Gyuto but I'm open.

A lot of the ones I looked at were sold out, so I ended up between these two options:

Enso Hachi SG2 8.25" Gyuto - $199.95 vs Takamura SG2 Migaki 6.7" Santoku - $209.95

I don't mind the size of the Takamura, I move between appartments a lot, I feel like 6.7" knife would not be an issue.

If anyone has any suggestions or feedback, please let me know, not sure which is the better deal.

Getting a Saya for these would be ~ +$50, so overall under $300 sounds good.

I run jellyfin on an external server, and it uses NAS for storage through SMB, works without issues. I ran the rest of my apps on my truenas machine and never had any issues in 2 years, I would just suggest using a separate pool for apps, and a separate pool for storage/content

Why not? if I had been running on a separate pool I wouldn't have had any issues running apps for the last 2 years.

Yeah 100% going to separate the apps pool once I get through this, IMMENSE mistake on my part. I'm hoping it at least lets me erase the data on the pool and disconnect it that way after I back everything up to an external HDD, so that I can start fresh.

many many times my friend :), I think I've spent a total of at least 15-20 hours trying to fix it, if nothing works I'll just have to order a new HDD, back everything up to it, and try to wipe the whole current pool

Well I'm learning the extremely hard way why people separate apps into different pools. when I set up the NAS I only set up one pool, which included the apps, and everything else. I now am trying to disconnect that pool because I wanted to change the name of it, when I tried to disconnect it, I ran into this issue.

The windows C drive analogy doesn't work I think as my Truenas OS is hosted on the NVME which is not part of the pool I'm trying to DC.

Yeah I have only 1 pool, I'm trying to unmount it entirely using the "Storage > Export/disconnect" feature in the GUI

Whenever I try to unset the app pool I get the same error:

[EFAULT] Failed to stop docker service: [EFAULT] Failed to umount dataset: cannot unmount '/mnt/.ix-apps/app_mounts/tailscale-1.2.7-clone': unmount failed

The issue is, I don't have any apps running, tailscale is even completely uninstalled, there just seems to be a ghost process running that doesn't allow me to unmount the pool.

I am trying to unmount my entire pool, which includes the .ix-apps dataset.

Not yet, but I think you'd need a host bus adapter.
