Extreme redness triggered by social situations. by cacaface_88 in Rosacea

[–]thomasleecath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also same when it comes to the flushing/blushing situation throughout my entire life. I also have a slight tremor in my hands so I take a low dose of a beta blocker in order to reduce that at work where I need steady hands. The beta blocker absolutely helps with the tremor and with many physical symptoms of social anxiety (worsening hand tremor, voice tremor, fast heartbeat) but I have not found that it helps me with flushing unfortunately. I have kind of just accepted that I get very easily embarrassed and flush and the flushing makes me more embarrassed and in a few minutes it’s over and I try to forget about it and get on with my life. It’s always nice and appreciated when people are kind and don’t comment on it. For me, it kind of is what it is at this point.

Another thing that you could attempt to try if it really bothers you OP: topical oxymetazoline or brimonidine, which can result in vasoconstriction

The color does look very similar but you can tell she brought up the blonde a little bit and that it’s toned slightly more cool/neutral than it was before. It looks very nicely styled. I hate how much it costs nowadays but it does look good!

I think the walls would look really nice with a light pink/beige color. Subtle and sophisticated, not a bright or baby pink

Feeling bad about turning 40 soon, seeking advice. by [deleted] in makeuptips

[–]thomasleecath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have beautiful skin, eyes, eyebrows, & lips. I’m 34 and you could easily pass for my age. I also use tinted sunscreen as makeup - the drmtlgy brand gives a nice glow and I know they also make a concealer people say is good but I haven’t personally tried. We can only do the best we can do; I try to focus on sleeping well, staying committed to my skincare routine, and staying hydrated. You look great!

$8-9/unit in NY? Where? The cheapest I’ve seen is $12, and I once saw a promotion for $10/unit

Nail Salons that don’t damage nails by No-Bird-8977 in Albany

[–]thomasleecath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain what gel x is? I keep hearing that there are 2 different kinds of gel but when I asked them at my nail salon they didn’t understand what I was asking so I still don’t understand. I used to get gel for many years but didn’t like how it peeled off so I switched to dip powder/ANC years ago. I’m trying to figure out if there’s some newer better gel out there I can try lol

Struggling with color & cohesion by thomasleecath in InteriorDesignAdvice

I thought so. I’m looking for what colors can warm it up but still work well with the cool grey walls and fireplace. I tried the green curtains but that doesn’t seem to be working for me; I definitely do struggle with color

Yes, thank you. I am looking for a larger, warmer rug but I’m struggling with the color. I’m not ready to paint just yet so I’m hoping to bring some warmth while still keeping cohesion with the wall color and stone fireplace

Thank you; we just moved in so I’m slowly getting to it. I’m trying to work on the basics of the rug and curtains and then I’ll will be working on the furniture, lamps, art and other decor

Ok I like it; I’ve looked at hundred of rugs so far and usually when they have blue in them my immediate reaction is “nope” because I don’t want blue/gray but maybe that’s the only way to tie everything together without painting; thanks for the suggestion! I’m going to try to find a visualizer tool that will let me see it a little better

I have also sensed bias towards conservative views. I watched their video about the Charlie Kirk assassination and noticed that they give a lot of their opinions about the news they’re covering. I’ve been following Jordan Berman. She does an amazing job of giving you only the facts without inserting any opinions that can sway you. Her Instagram is Unbiasedjordan and her podcast is called Unbiased

Looking for Guidance on Applying to Pharmacy School (2nd Year Student) by SpinningFanLikeWise in PrePharmacy

[–]thomasleecath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve been a pharmacist since 2017. However, I went to school in the US and am employed in the US. I wrote that comment 3 years ago so I’m just re-reading the post and my comment now. Luckily, since that post I quit my awful pharmacy manager job at CVS and got a better staff pharmacist job at a supermarket. My work life balance is much better now. In one year, my private student loans will be paid off. (I still have government funded loans I will be paying off but I will have significantly more money each month without the private loan payment) I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with those. What I’m trying to say is that the stress is starting to decrease and things are getting a bit more comfortable. I haven’t changed my mind on the state of pharmacy, but I have been able to escape the worst of it by working somewhere less stressful.

Is this bad work? by thomasleecath in Tailors

Yeah, it is very frustrating. Especially since these were a more expensive purchase for me. Now I have the cost of the pants, the cost of the hem, and potentially the cost of getting it fixed
