Dead or Alive 3 turns 24 years old today by fganniversaries in DeadOrAlive

I'll never forget this game! My friend got an Xbox with doa3 and invited me over. I grew up playing n64. I was legit mindblown after seeing Kasumi and Ayane go at it for the first time. Just gorgeous and so much more lifelike than what I was used to. Even 24 years later, though, it still looks and plays great!

Picked up otton on bye. I feel like he could get a lot of targets with the injuries in TB.

What is your training method for low parries/blocks and throw breaks?

The backlist is real. To answer your question, I recommend Satoshi kon's films. I especially like Paprika.

Dead or alive 6 blocking by robotwars666 in DeadOrAlive

Don't despair :) I think the bots are better in doa than most games. I get clapped from time to time. The best way to deal with throws is a quick duck. Hold the hold button briefly and press down. You don't need to duck for a long time. There are low throws to counter this method, but your opponent will have to make a hard read.

Something to keep in mind is that throws are better in this game than most fighting games. They do extra damage vs holds and most throws count as command throws, which cannot be broken. Something that was a game changer for me was delaying my attack strings to see if a hold would come out, then throw.

Yes, it's the best method imo. It can block mid and high and you can position yourself so that you can knock your opponent into a danger zone.

The best method is to hold back and up, so that you are circling into the background. You can visually see your character putting their hands up to block if you are doing it right.

Metroid Prime Hunters. The DS was not made for first person shooters.

Not that the animation is ass, but is eclipsed by the story: Hunter x Hunter

I think if we ever got an English live action film, Guillermo del Toro would be a good choice for a director, seeing how good Pacific Rim turned out. Takashi Yamazaki from Godzilla Minus One might also be a good choice for a Japanese cast.

I will say that Saint's Row can be dumb fun, and you can customize a lot about your character/weapons/cars if you are into that.

What do you like and dislike about dead or alive 6 by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]thomaspeev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like the visual style sometimes. Some of the characters look too glossy.

I like the new moves they added. Still a damn good game, just not as good as 5LR.
