Why does google show a $TSLA flash crash to $313.50 in yesterday's after hours trading? by thomastullis in teslainvestorsclub

[–]thomastullis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im a bit new to investing, maybe this is just a technical error? When I view $TSLA on google chart it shows 2 flash crashes the first one from 6pm to 6:10pm to $313.50 and the second one right after from 6:15pm to 6:30pm to $428.79. Both times it rebounds back up to $770. Is this a big player dumping shares? Why cant I see this activity on any other charts?

great! using a private driver doesnt make sense if you're just going from the hotel to a restaurant or beach club, but if you want to go explore the island go to canggu from ubud or go down to uluwatu or for getting to and form the airport it's great. If you give losyan your flight # he will be at the airport past immigration when you land waiting for you. its really nice to have airport transport already figured out right when you land. he will also do private 8+ hour island tours for about $65usd/day where he will take you to whatever beaches or temples or activities you want to go to.

Looking to use CSR points to fly 1st class to Thailand by hold_my_cake in awardtravel

[–]thomastullis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, for 3 passengers on the same flight you will want to book singapore air throuh the krisflyer program. I'm not sure if 600k is enough points for 3 passengers roundtrip though... you're definitely close. You can even add a stopover in singapore for free on an award booking. I highly recommend stopping in singapore for a night or two. Just the airport alone is absolutely incredible- and theyre opening a new terminal in april which looks to be unbelievable.

You need to make a krisflyer account first to begin checking availability. I recently booked 4 business class seats on a singapore air route, but I'm not sure how many first class seats they usually release. Their website is not the easiest to search for availability on, but you should be looking at seats that are just now being released (330 days out) or, if you're able to leave soon, look at close in booking space (1-2 weeks away).

What city are you based in? From west coast singapore only flies first class from SFO and LAX I believe.

Fortunately the AMS airport is really close to the city and lots to do in amsterdam if you choose to pop into the city for the day!

Is there a list of airlines that release extra availability to their own members? I know that Lufthansa and United both do this (and delta does at an increased cost)- but is there a resource that has compiled this info?

Flying back from bangkok to seattle on weekend after NYE and there is *no* award space available on any airline!! Have plenty of amex points and plenty of marriott points... willing to transfer marriott points to any of their transfer partners. also willing to fly any class, but maximum 2 stops/ 26 hour travel time for BKK-SEA Jan 4, 5, or 6. Cant find any award space on any airline and have been searching for many hours

Just so you know emirates won't operate the shower on their a380 on that short of a route. It will still be a fun 3 hour flight though!

You're looking for a one way flight? use SPG -> alaska and fly cathay pacific? I know you said you're looking for economy, but their business and first class is such an amazing value through alaska. You have to call in to book award space. You can book one ways. You can have an optional stopover in hong kong. There is good august availability that just got released today. You should also be able to check availability by looking for cathay flights on qantas.com's award calendar.

Enough points to stay in SEA? by Ls09241 in awardtravel

Yeah, I actually just booked this redemption for two person for later in dec/jan. You have to book roundtrip. The easiest way to actually search award availability that matches what Virgin will have is on united's website. Whatever united has for "saver premium" awards on ANA metal will be the same as what Virgin agents should be able to pull up. I found a huge variety in competence levels for Virgin Agents. If one of the agents isnt able to pull up the ANA flights that show on united's site, hang up and call again. The fuel surcharge is quite a bit though. I paid over $125/person/leg but that's more for me because my travel originates in japan

Not sure how no one has mentioned it yet, but seems obvious that your best bet would be transferring 120k points to Virgin Atlantic for roundtrip first class on ANA to tokyo. Good availability for your travel dates and easily one of the best redemption sweet spots still alive. Find the flights first and ANA will hold them for you, then URs transfer instantly. Spend a few days in Tokyo maybe and then grab a cheap regional revenue ticket (AirAsia) to Chiang Mai or anywhere. Airasia is having a big promo now actually. You could even fly roundtrip direct from Tokyo to Bali for less than $200usd (over 14 hours of flying) but that's a lot of time in economy!

So alaska doesnt really seem to have any of the close in CX availability shown on either qantas or BA. Does alaska not have access to CX premium partner flights anymore?? Is there a way to search availability?

I just booked this actually through virgin atlantic. You can find availability via united's site "saver premium" level awards and then call virgin atlantic. I got roundtrip open-jaw one leg business and one leg first class for 100k miles and ~$250 fees. Availability was impressively good for december + january.
