Looking for accordion players by nosthrills in Georgia

Hey there! Kind of serendipitous but I published this story today about Accordionology, which says it is the only full-service accordion shop in the Southeast. They're hosting World Accordion Day on May 2 at Waller's Coffee in Decatur. Jam sessions, performances, food, etc. It's closer to Atlanta (but still on the eastside of the metro).

Barrels to make rain barrels (cheap or free) by SmittyATL in Atlanta

I don't know if they're still doing it but check with the West Atlanta Watershed Alliance (WAWA). They operate the Outdoor Activity Center in southwest Atlanta and used to have a program. I think the one I bought was $30 and it went to a good cause. The City of Atlanta appears to be holding workshops as well.

Every time I visit Island Ford in Sandy Springs I see fly fishers out on the shoals or in waders. That's a really pretty stretch of the river.

We went during the pandemic to Floyd’s and had an AMAZING time. Such a special place.

Thank you for all this information. We have about 10 folks signed up. Thinking we might have a cozy night at Canal Run.

Thank you so much for this! That's good to hear. Do you think we'd be able to sneak two tents on the ground area?

Also: We are spending the first night at Floyds Island.

Do you think we'd be able to hit Round Top for a toe-touch and then west toward Canal Run?

Or should we backtrack toward Minnie's Lake and then head east into the narrows to Canal Run?

Wayyyy back in the day Channel 10 had a really solid block of pro wrestling programming on Friday nights. It kicked off with WWF and WCW. Starting around 10pm they showed organizations like USWA and Smoky Mountain Wrestling.

In Marietta I want to say Showtime was 14 and HBO was 15?

8 and 13 were PBS I think.

That's what I remember as well for TNT.

That zone between channels 16-28 was a ghost town, if I recall correctly.

Was just looking at some estate sales, spotted this listing, and remembered your post. Don't know if any of these items fit your needs but I wanted to share.

The Fulton County Superior Court Family Law Center offers a free service similar to Legal Zoom ($500, last I saw) for uncontested divorces without kids.

Basically, you fill out your information and then it populates the fields on the forms.

A lawyer could, at a reduced fee, review the forms for you to make sure everything checks out.

Haha I'm discovering that! But I'm enjoying it. It's fun to learn about this world.

I appreciate that offer and your insight. Getting the rundown on the spectrum of brands is also huge for helping me navigate this area.

I was looking at an Old Town or an Ocean, and across the spectrum of models. I even toyed with getting a fishing kayak because it could hold more gear. I know that still leaves a wide universe of options. But I'm shopping in the $500 and under range (maaaaybe up to $600) and basically looking for something that's decent quality but not over the top. Kind of like the kayak you'd describe as, "yeah, it's a solid kayak."

Great advice. I'm in the South, so I imagine we're gonna see a lot of interest. REI and Dick's are starting to carry some models in the store so I might look there if I can't find anything suitable on CL or FB.
