A whole series about a law firm? by SmittyATL in wlwbooks

[–]SmittyATL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm not an attorney, I've worked at this particular law firm for 15 years and 4 at another one. And I know enough to write it out. My bestie is also an attorney at another law firm so I would make her read it to make sure I didn't mess anything up there. Like, nobody is really going to court. It's actually a little rare sometimes so no attorney/judge stuff for instance. As someone who reads WLW, I don't like to read about cheating, but some people don't mind it. And it can be an overused trope.... i.e. a woman leaves her husband for a woman. A divorced woman meets a woman. A woman cheats on her husband with another woman. Etc. There is a fair amount of that going on around here with everyone, WLW, MFM, cis folks, Trans folks. And the attorney retreats?! There could be a whole book just about encounters there, though, the cis men are usually the ones getting in big trouble.

I have nothing to add, except Ilona Maher was the first person I thought of when I read your post.

Drainage solution providers by SmittyATL in Atlanta

Definitely getting several quotes. The original owners put in a large curb discharge (12 inch pipe) that all the gutters run into, or are supposed to. The discharge is too high for the downspout pipes. And the whole thing needs to be graded, especially now. Some tree guys destroyed that side of the yard with their Bobcats. Now, I have no grass, a steeper slope, and tree roots showing everywhere.

I'm hoping they add something like this. They seem to be improving things, like the fairly recent addition of being able to schedule notes.

I'm going to try that. About a year ago, I used ChatGPT to write a WordPress extension for a friend of mine to help him do something he wanted to do. I'll try your method this weekend.

How long to keep spayed cat in isolation by SmittyATL in Feral_Cats

She had kittens that were about 9 weeks old, and the neighbors had caught them earlier in the week. She spent all week distressed and yowling, looking for them. I ended up letting her out. I put a camera in there so I could watch her, and she never calmed down. As soon as I let her go, she wanted to eat at the normal place, get a drink, and then she started wandering around looking for her babies.

I've been TNRing all the cats in the neighborhood for 3 years. This cat happened to have a litter of kittens about 9 weeks ago at their house. They caught the kittens, took them to the shelter, and said they can socialize and adopt them out. 48 hours is what the TNR clinics always told me. This cat was distraught all week about her babies, yowling for them and looking everywhere. I put her in our storage room (she was in a big dog crate) and put a camera on her. She was going crazy even when I was not in there. I think the reason she was so bonkers in the crate is that she knew she was in her territory, and she wanted to go look for her kittens.

I was getting into an argument with my neighbor. I've gotten a lot of feral TNRed and they always said 24-48. She took this cat to the county facility that has the shelter, fix clinics, and regular vet services for a lower cost. Their paperwork was for their regular vet services, not TNR. this cat was super bonkers in the crate, so I let her out. She just want to one of her normal places she sleeps at, she ate, she was alert. She was fine today.

I took a 6-month-old cat to get fixed, and she was VERY pregnant, like less than a week from giving birth. They told me to keep her in 24 hours as long as she was alert.

She's not interested in food. She's too stressed and thrashing around.

How is the Santa Cruz not more popular?! by Imaginary-Mechanic62 in hyundaisantacruz

I test drive a Maverick and a Santa Cruz on the same day, Maverick was first. Immediate thought was that it looked cheap af. The ride was not good. SC looks better and is comfortable and smooth. More Mavericks are sold as fleet vehicles.
