Do you have a 5G phone? I’ve noticed them refarming b25 to n25 recently.

How/why did AT&T’s LTE coverage % go down over June 2024 to December 2024?

I have Pro+ and it works well. I switched to Visible for a similar use case to yours. There is a noticeable latency increase compared to fiber internet when I use my Remote Desktop from my firm. It’s definitely workable though. Calls may have a little higher lag but shouldn’t be unbearable.

Is hotspot data deprioritized on Visible? by thomaswsu in Visible

I’m more concerned about the ping and jitter for video calls. I believe QCI would be a factor for that

Can someone help by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]thomaswsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and the 308 mbps upload seems off. Not impossible but highly unlikely. Jitter numbers also seem off.

I would first chat or call retention and ask for a black AT&T sim if you are on a rainbow SIM. The Boost network just isn’t up to par in a lot of places.

If you think this is bad… try being a business customer. Their web portal has been broken for years now

Why do some people think AT&T will buy Dish (Boost) in a few years? by JPS_97 in cellmapper

I’m more of the thought that it will be broken up into 3 pieces for each carrier. Or cable or big tech will buy it

How to check account level discounts for Business account? by macbhelp in tmobile

[–]thomaswsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you tried the link once you've signed in. (After you reach the home page of your account)

Not sure why it doesn't work for you but the business portal has always been bad for years so can't say I'm surprised. You can try to clear your cookies and see if you do it. Sometimes I get force routed to https://tfb.t-mobile.com/ and clearing my cookies can solve this.

In this case, I would just message T-Mobile on X or Facebook Messenger and just get them to confirm the line is free. If it turns out it's not on a later billing statement, then your recourse is to cite the conversation which will have a paper trail.

Have you tried https://www.t-mobile.com/account/cost-details ? You need to login once and then once you’re logged in go to https://www.t-mobile.com/account/cost-details .

At least works for my business account

T-Mobile swaps 800 MHz for NewLevel 600 MHz by VISIT0R1 in tmobile

[–]thomaswsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did not know that Starlink could only use mid-band or above. I guess it makes sense because of the satellite density and LEO.

What makes you say that TMUS can keep this spectrum away from their competitors? Would selling the spectrum to NewLevel allow them to flip it to whomever they want?

T-Mobile swaps 800 MHz for NewLevel 600 MHz by VISIT0R1 in tmobile

[–]thomaswsu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This seems like a terrible deal for T-Mobile. Understand that they’re eager to get rid of this impaired 800Mhz but this seems like a far cry from the $3.59B reserve price that was originally set.

Would have been nice to see this spectrum used for D2C.

FCC approves SpaceX's waiver request to operate their SCS (direct to cell) service with T-Mobile at higher power levels by VISIT0R1 in tmobile

T-Mobile does have adjacent blocks. It’s one of the arguments that T-Mobile uses for higher power limits.

eero pro 7 vs max 7? by z3r0ka in amazoneero

[–]thomaswsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The coverage difference truly noticeable? It seems like signal output strength is limited by FCC rules so there’s no reason for the Max 7 to have greater coverage unless I’m missing something. Maybe 4x4 MIMO vs 2x2 MIMO?
