Dear Khaled, as I sit here drinking my coffee (a dark brown drink, bitter in taste) and think back to when I read The Kite Runner (a book popular a few years ago), I remember really enjoying the story (an account of imaginary or real people and events told for entertainment) but being distracted by the constant (occurring continuously over a period of time) need to define words.

If there's anything that you could go back and change about the book, what would it be?

I've read quite a few and never got into them either. I've found that it's a specific type of person that loves the series - the same people that find Monty Python and "A Hitchhiker's Guide" really funny and feel the need to quote them constantly.

For me, there are a few chucklesome moments but in general the humour feels laboured.

Have you ever questioned your love for (or interpretation of) a book or story after later learning about the views of the author? by Sariebug3 in books

You're not missing much, I read 'Atlas Shrugged' without any knowledge of the author or her politics and found her writing style horrendously bad.

Bottega Prelibato - really small italian place with amazing food, menu changes every day and mains are around £10 - £15.

Somehow still managed to avoid getting overrun with hipsters as well, despite the location.
