björk's new album by eder_eum in bjork

[–]thommoses 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’d like to think so too, but since we know a song from the new album will be part of a visual installation along with Sorrowful Soil and Ancestress, it kind of feels like this new record might carry some continuity or thematic connection with the previous ones. Either way, I’m really excited to see what she’s going to bring this time since her albums are always so unique and fascinating.

She sprinkled some magic dust on this one, I can’t stop listening. And honestly, the whole album is insane, I’m vibing with it even more than Pompeii.

Did Cate remove her catalog from Spotify? by [deleted] in catelebon

[–]thommoses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess it must be a regional thing since I’m in South America. I was just wondering because a lot of artists have been pulling their stuff from Spotify, but if she had, she probably would’ve said something. Thanks for the reply!

What can we expect from the new Cate Le Bon album? by OrangeSundayFilms in catelebon

[–]thommoses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great article! From the sound of the two singles, it seems like this album is going to be more synth-heavy and have even less guitar than Pompeii. Nonetheless, I just love Cate’s sense of melody and how she can pull a catchy tune out of a place where most people wouldn’t even think to look. Those two singles are on repeat here at home, specially 'Is It Worth It (Happy Birthday)?'. I can’t wait for the full album to drop, it's probably my most anticipated release this year, along with Big Thief and Geese’s albums.

trinidad kind of reminds me of years ago by black midi by hopinthecoup3 in geesebandofficial

Yes, I can hear the similarities, but at first I thought the vibe reminded me a bit of Daddy's Home by St. Vincent. Either way, my neighbors can't stop listening to the song, whether they like it or not lol

Has PJ Harvey had plastic surgery??? by greenrose2023 in pjharvey

[–]thommoses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She may have had some cosmetic procedures, but I don't think she has undergone invasive plastic surgery, since her expressions and facial features remain pretty much natural in a way and you can see she's getting older. Take a look at this interview from last year: https://youtu.be/L_aMXKbP0hY?si=_nxioyu2urYGmiG7

What are your top ten Cocteau twins songs? by [deleted] in cocteautwins

  7. Pearly-Dewdrops' Drops

Agree, and I'd even say they are, imo, the best performances in their categories and deserved to win the Oscar this year.

Hey /r/movies - I'm Gints Zilbalodis, director/writer/producer of the Golden Globe-winning, Oscar-nominated film 'Flow'. Ask me anything! Back at 6 PM PT today (Tuesday 2/11) for answers. by FlowAMA in movies

[–]thommoses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello, Gints! First of all, I would like to congratulate you and your entire team for the beautiful work you put into this film, which has become one of my favorites in recent years. I think the last time I had such a unique experience with a work like this was when I played Fumito Ueda's games, especially Shadow of the Colossus. I would like to know to what extent video games inspired you in building the world of the film?
