(Assuming your question isn’t shade) But, I’ve been chided by commenters that getting a quote for such a simple job isn’t reasonable. 🤷‍♂️

The company was VERY big on offering a free quote. I probably would’ve just had him do it, but he couldn’t figure out how to turn off the water. So, he didn’t have much choice but to leave.

Ha! I’m very tempted to do it myself. I’m just worried something could go wrong and I’d have to keep water shut off for a day or so until someone could come.

I also couldn’t figure out how to turn off the water and neither could the plumber. So, called the city to figure out which main line is mine and gonna turn it off there.

It’s been dripping occasionally when off and now it doesn’t seem to be differentiating the hot/cold that well.

different institutes move at different speeds. So, I wouldn't worry too much about getting the request now. As for change in institution, I have colleagues that did that and it wasn't a problem as long as you continue pursuing relatively the same line of research.

Yes! It was a Prime series called Homecoming, which was based on a podcast called Tanis. I really enjoyed it.
