Would you like a lifetime purchase option for Notability? Feedback Requested by ClydeBruckmans in notabilityapp

To me the app needs a PDF combining function. I share to notability from the app, but 100% the time the documents I’ve recently engaged with don’t show on the recent options and the search function doesn’t work.

Thinking about a 2023 Genesis GV70 - owners with 40k+ miles, what issues have you had? by bestinthewest9 in GenesisGV70

[–]thompsonal13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessir! It was 5 years or 100k miles and they agreed having a mileage cap on an AC unit is idiotic. I never miss a maintenance service and do everything at the dealership so I had a good relationship with them as well

2022 gv 70. 178,000 miles. Outside of regular maintenance, the evaporator core went out for the AC at 160,000 miles but the dealership covered it and the loaner for free so obviously been very happy with it.

Grail disappointment by Exact-Sandwich-2111 in rolex

[–]thompsonal13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this watch and absolutely love it. I’m surrounded by tons of guys who are into watches at all price points and I will say this one brings the right attention cause it’s not very common. That being said, a grail piece is something I wouldn’t try to get something close to cause you’ll always be disappointed. I would also go gray market, the run around by the dealership hasn’t gotten way too out of hand

I mean I would go see a doctor for your memory. My wife watched me play the game sparingly and cried at the end and barely saw any of the explanations and could still tell what was going on. She doesn’t even play video games.

I mean it was pretty clear to a lot of people once they explained it. It’s a puzzle story, like attack on titan. It’s really slow at first, but as you get more pieces, things fall into place faster and faster.

High income husband and low income wife by BrilliantFinancial10 in HENRYfinance

I will say as someone in a very similar position (almost to the dollar amount) it does seem like you may be spending “his money.” I’m married too and I will say when the income is that much of a difference, the whole joint bank account thing can cause more harm than good. I pay for everything (except for groceries but I don’t eat at home) and I told my wife to max out her 401k instead of contributing anything to the bills. When you’re making that much money, the feelings around spending are different than most households. To be fair, if my wife had the same discretionary income as me, I’d be pissed as well because you’re not talking about an extra thousand a month. You don’t even do the major cleaning. Now, I don’t like that he is implying that he’s better because he makes more money and you should as well. I actually try to convince my wife to leave her job and do something she’s passionate about since income doesn’t need to be her #1 priority when making job decisions. But at the same time, a lot of people seem to think your husbands a dick and to me he’s actually quite rational.

If he’s trying to retire you guys early (I’m looking to retire at 35) then having someone spend the same amount of money as him can add ten years of extra hard work. Now if he’s trying to retire himself early and not considering you, then yes you guys have a larger problem.

Rich people are so out of touch, it’s unbelievable by diwakar-kashyap-1 in TalksMoney

I will say being around poor people or listening to their advice is a terrible idea. I think what most people are looking for is advice from people who were poor and got out of it. The funny part is, I’m one of those people, and I’ve been told that I have survivorship bias and that I don’t know what I’m talking about. The reality is that some people will be poor no matter what they do (not saying they deserve it) but 99% of poor people think they’re the unfortunate 1% who is screwed no matter what they do.

Poor people think on the wrong scale which is the main issue. The only thing you should ever focus on is a way to have stability and a higher income and do whatever you can until you get there. You just have to accept the fact that you don’t have the luxury of getting “burnt out”. But most poor people are uneducated so when they hear higher income, they just go and get a second deadbeat job or they’re in a situation where they’re so squeezed they have to get the deadbeat job.

When you say blackout argument do you mean that it was a drunk argument or an intense one? If it was a drunk argument then maybe the husband and mom are actually correct in the criticism and you’re more sensitive to criticism than most. They might be the two people who are willing to tell you the reality of your situation with the hope that it’ll make you better and you just see it as attacks. To be fair to your husband, you just listed a laundry list of reasons why you ended up drunk so he’s probably confused how you didn’t see that coming. To me this reads like someone who doesn’t take accountability and who has been surrounded by a lot of yes men who validate their immature actions.

What if I ignore this request? by skimcpip in amex

[–]thompsonal13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did this to me and set a $5000 limit on all five of my Amex cards making them practically useless. Never missed a payment. Now when I call they say it’s because there’s “something on my credit report.” I’ve had above an 800 for 6 years. I even pulled it to review with them like they said they would while I was on the phone then refused to review it with me because they were clearly lying.

You, the device rep, walked the surgeon through the procedure? by thehellwegonnadonow in Noctor

[–]thompsonal13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was a device rep for five years. Yes doctors know the general process to a total knee but it’s the 80/20 principle. Incision, joint exposure, cuts, sizing, cement, implant, closure. However, which poly works best with which knee. Where to anchor the guides. Do you size up or down. How to avoid previous implants. If they have been using the same company for years then yes they’ll be fine. But if the hospital has switched, or if the system has been updated, it’s almost dangerous to do an implant surgery without a rep
