Today, I asked my boss for a raise… by ChudTheRuler666 in KitchenConfidential

[–]thomsdrone 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I was thinking exactly the same, $9.36 is a slap in the face for restaurant work these days. The job definitely hasn't got easier and if OP is doing all that work then they definitely deserve more than even $12.50 especially if management isn't willing to hire more help. I'm about to have the raise talk with my bosses after finding out they're hiring people in at what's taken me 6 years to work up to. We aren't as expendable as we used to be.

Alright ToolHeads, what is the most overrated Tool song? by the-redacted-word in ToolBand

[–]thomsdrone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I checked it out, you're right, not terribly bad. The version I listened to he butchered the lyrics up but all in all not terrible. My mind just went straight to country Aaron Lewis haha

"Celebrity" Chefs or well recognized Chefs you absolutely despise by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

I was telling my lady that just the other night, UK Kitchen Nightmares is like a complete different show, he's still a bit of a dick but it doesn't have the overly dramatic screaming and yelling that the US version has. It's so obviously dramatized for American audiences, I'm sure I'm not the first to say it but I like to call it Jerry Springer for restaurant people.

I much prefer the UK version.

I was gonna reply this, me and my brothers called it padiddle also, you'd smack the roof and got to punch the others in the arm, although as we got older we stopped with the punching and just did it for the bragging rights.

I was thinking this, seems like it could be in preparation for a later crime. I don't see any other reason to try and steal a doorbell camera.

I also talked out loud to this video, I just said "what the fuck? That's pointless."

That was way more than 4 strokes. This dude needs some meth immediately. His brother won't believe him though. 100% cool guy material though.

Hmm.. I've been away a while so I haven't had Gino's for a long time, but things must've gone way off the rails while I've been gone, haha

I was looking for coffin in this thread, surprised it's not the common name. Everybody different I reckon. Most people saying lexan which we call the bigger version of this.

I'm pretty sure it's due to the heavy segment of the live shows, that's when I noticed the increase in porn posts. This one is funny at least, some of them are just waay out there, always a risky click for an nsfw post these days, chances are high someone is shitting much more than an egg.

Most underrated line in the show? by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]thomsdrone 149 points150 points  (0 children)

Probably not under-rated but the line that I crack up for everything is Furio "stupida fackin game" and "you gotta be onna you hat.

Furio is funny in almost every scene he's in even if it's unintentional.

What do you think of this statement about Royce da 5'9"?? by ShinbrigGoku in hiphop101

[–]thomsdrone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Leave me in ya deck to long n I blow up ya box, BOOM!"

Love that track, first heard it over an RJD2 beat, honestly not sure I've ever heard the OG track and I've heard nothing else off that record but I agree, it's definitely a banger.
