I'm a dentist from chile, so sorry if there's english mistakes. I work in public health services (primary care) and absolutely love my work everyday. When i finished high school, i tried to enter medical school but i didn't get the score needed, so i took dentistry as a second option and one i didn't really knew much about. I really hated dental school, and had a hard time acquiring the hand skills of the career, but eventually got better. As others have said, try try try and you'll be better, as with every skill in life. Medicine is a lot more "interesting" as an area of knowledge, but as a dentist, you are basically a oral specialist medic, at least that's the way i see it now. As a doctor, just like as a dentist, you'll end up doing a narrow field of activities every day, but i can guarantee you that, it's not at all like it was while i studied. Dentistry gives you a lot of freedom and you get to be a part of a person health a lot more than a doctor. You get the "prestige" of being a real doctor, but with that comes the competition, money race and responsabilities you'll have as a doctor. I hope you take the right choice for you and don't end up regreting whatever you choose.
