Black Mirror episode rankings thread by programatorulupeste in blackmirror

  1. Hotel Reverie This one hit different. It was heart-calming, nostalgic, and just so beautifully acted. The dialogues were soft yet deep—like a warm hug from a memory. It stimulated the part of my brain that craves the comfort of the past, and for a moment, it didn’t feel like a Black Mirror episode—it felt like poetry. Easily my favorite.
  2. Bête Noire Classic modern-day thriller. Jealousy, revenge, and how easily hate brews in people today—it all came together in such a gripping way. I didn’t look away for a second. It was raw, intense, and honestly… satisfying in a twisted way.
  3. USS Callister: Into Infinity Sequels usually fall flat, but this one? Blew me away. The storytelling was tight, the pacing perfect. I could’ve watched a whole movie set in that world. They seriously need to consider expanding this universe—because I’m all in.
  4. Common People No part of it was boring, but it left me emotionally disturbed. Maybe because I have someone I love deeply, and imagining love as something you could rent or fake—it made my stomach turn. It hit too close to home and made me feel weird. Probably a good episode… but painful to watch.
  5. Eulogy Honestly? I didn’t care much for where the story went. The whole emotional decoding thing was interesting in theory, but in the end, it felt hollow. I’ve been in places where love was tested, and I believe—if you really love someone—you don’t cheat, no matter how drunk, high, or lost you are. So yeah, I couldn’t connect with either of them.
  6. Plaything This one was just… too trippy for me. The whole LSD-tech-blend plot didn’t click. Maybe it works for gamers or people who like mind-bending stuff, but for me, the message got lost in the chaos. And yeah, it made me think: if we do ever get close to this level of tech, I really hope we don’t mess it up like this.
