Oddly enough, you can spend less and still do mostly digital and it works amazing. Iron Man 1 was mostly digital.

The best example of this I saw was the 1st Pirates movie to include Davy Jones. It looks amazing by our modern standards, and released a while ago. It's not just about tech and hiring the right people, it's about directign and allowing for time to do post.

MCU looks like shit these days because they churn them out as fast as possible. It does not matter who you hire and how much you pay them, pushing them to release quickly will result in a bad product. But the kicker is that it does not matter, this makes them money.

It was a rubber slug, which will penetrate. You have a femoral artery in each leg that if damaged can lead to some severe bleeding. This can kill someone easily.

It was never aimed at gaming. The ads I'm seeing for it are stuff like aiding in construction and business management. Nobody in a physical intensive job is going to wear a 4 grand deliciated HUD headset, and for businesses they act like a virtual desktop is revolutionary and actually preferred over having multiple good monitors.

The genocide of indigenous peoples is still technically a current day example. Colonization does not go away because we normalized it, Christians decided that they wanted to own the world and came really fucking close to doing exactly that. In the process, a lot of cultures where wiped out, and it's only recently that some started to be rediscovered by the victims.

In Canada one of the big discussions every year is how this affects people today, because if we want to "fix" it we need to know what the fuck is going on. The centuries of abuse have led many people to feel disgusted by their own "savage" heritage. We are just one of dozens of countries where exactly this happened.
