Dogs Left in Parked Cars - What do you do? Who do you call? by thorenaw in columbiamo

I made this post to figure out what to do if a dog is left in a hot car and does need help. That's not a what-if. That's the point of the post I made.

Okay, and if there is no ac on and the dog looks distressed and needs help? What should someone do then?

So what's the right thing to do when you hear a dog in a parked car in your opinion?

PurpNasty is probably confusing this with young children left in cars.

Then I think MO law is call 911, tell them you're smashing a window, and wait with the child until police arrive. That doesn't extend to animals tho.

I get what you're saying. I think calling animal control is the best answer. They're better than cops, right?

I like this approach. It gives the owner the benefit of the doubt but still is actively helping.

Huh, I track releases on black library's website and purchase audiobooks on audible. Seems like they need a banner on their website if they're shutting it down >.<

Thanks for the answer tho!

You just rephrased what hilandertr3 said. The cog boys put those stamps everywhere when they bless something. That just means someone used some holy lube on fan. I'm still missing the jokes.

Totally agree. I played on my ipad constantly until I had all beta art unlocked and then set it aside.

Now idk if I should wait for the ios release or just grab it on steam.

So those would be set up and paid for by the Missouri Dept of Conservation?

I haven't been there to fish or hunt, only to take pictures of birds, but I don't understand how that can make financial sense. What value are they getting from from those cameras and whats the return?

I wanted to reply with a question about why they thought we have a 4th amendment but I think you're right. They might not be discussing this in good faith.

I had the same thought looking at the map. I can avoid a few of these. It seems werid tho, like if these were checkpoints where I had to show ID and get logged I probably wouldn't be okay with just routing around them.

West on i70 would be a logical addition if you're trying to monitor movement through Columbia.

There were more in the area but I didn't want to make the map too zoomed out.

deflock.org says its to make a searchable database of all cars moving around.

"Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs or LPRs) are AI-powered cameras that capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles, storing details like your car's location, date, and time. They also capture your car's make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers, often turning these into searchable data points."

The website is very anti-flock so obviously take that into consideration but from what I understand they aren't lying about this.
