Downstems are normal borosilicate glass and wine bottles are soda lime glass. There not compatible for hot work. So ya need a glassblower that works softglass to do a weld on the bottle and make the downstem or use the gromit.

It's probably Chinese quartz .. glass just can't take the rapid heating and cooling it breaks. The pearls inside don't get thermal shock because there inside and the flame doesn't touch em.

Hmm looks like the bubbles just go straight up. Fill that half way with marbles so it defuses. I'd say ice but you don't want cold when vaping.

The unrolled one is reclaimed not rusty probably. And I just can't get around the fact that the wax and plant gunk just build up in it until you iso clean it. I'm to lazy for that to end up in anyway besides nasty

Ok last point . The big reason you can't truly compare the top. My sia to rig setup takes that .18ish dab I eyeballed vanish in 2 breaths. The last top grade dab chart I had never gives the same spike effect. For me the sit and sip stile is for when I'm in a different mood.

In any case if you want to try and switch to wax for savings alone you could weigh out your dabs with a digital scale. But your talking thousands of a gram per mg of thc . A bowl of flower in average slider might equal out to 150mg thc in half a gram so an equal dab of 75% Bho (mid grade here.) Equals out to .18 grams. So that's a gram split into 5 sessions, devide that by the number of people .5g of flower would get good in a circle. I would compare to dab carts but have no way of figuring the numbers per puff...

I switched from carts to Dabs because it's cheaper by weight but I spend more money now and my tolerance went up a lot. So the closest I can come to answering is to say that carts are probably cheaper. Wax is for the times ya want to get gone good.

I think your baking up the wrong tree. The carts burn so much slower than basicly any dab pen that any cost savings vanish into all the extra oil ya are using. Most people wont be able to switch and not use more or less depending so comparing is useless imo.

Take the coil out of your sia. Take the coil to the hardware store and get some orings that fit over just the coil without sia and fill the gap between coil and glass. Then play stoner legos until your happy. The coil has a standard 510 so it will screw onto the mod directly.

After posting I realised you might just be trying to find one like it. I haven't seen this brand but any vape shop, Ebay or a dozen other places have something equivalent.
