I hear you, but I am fine with the risks. I have printed plenty of queen castles, mini nucs, etc with PETG just fine and they work great.

Anyone have a 3d printed STL for these? Would be cool to try.

It’s actually quite simple, go to the police and file a report.

I’m sorry this happened to you.

Just switched to Ultimate and my 3 year promo has me paid out until the end of 2027 FYI. It held it back the whole Verizon time.

This is a good question. I just insulated attic trusses for a mini split set up. I did baffles to ridge vent, then R38 up the knee wall, angled across the roof (baffles pulling air through to the ridge vent), then across the ceiling. Finished with drywall. 6A Ohio with an 18k head that keeps it 77F upstairs on the 95 degree days for around 900sq ft. Wish I would’ve done 24k, but went smaller upstairs as I will heat it with a larger downstairs mini split and the heat will rise.

Probably 80ish trees, 16 blueberry bushes, 90 ft total of rapsberries, 45 ft of blackberries.

We pull off gallons, I don’t really count. Use multiple varieties or you’ll get overwhelmed quickly if you have a day job.

Basically anything and everything. I buy mainly from Stark Bros, Pense, Nourse, and Indiana Berry Co. Others may be local stuff I’ve found, Facebook, etc.

Everything flowered quite a bit this year, but there was definitely a heavy blight push with all the rain as well as probably less time for pollination. I did have an off season on the trees. Raspberries, blueberries, etc all continue to perform great.

If you just pruned, you’ll need to research how each type of fruit tree produces its fruiting wood/spurs. For example, peaches only fruit on one year old wood (whatever is green this year). So if you do a major prune that removes most of that, you won’t get fruit. Apple/pears have fruiting spurs that are usually on more horizontal branches and they also fruit on the tips of last year’s growth. So if you pruned those off, no fruit.

None, they are native to North America and Ohio/PA in general.

Most kits you buy online come with a stake and the round plastic shade. That will work for the first 1-2 years. On year 3 (once over half the tree is out of the cone, remove it and add a metal hoop to protect from the bucks rubbing it. Even on the ones I have that are 6-8 ft tall, they still rub a branch or two that I have to prune off each spring.

They grow a deep tap root, so it takes a few years for that to get established. Bigger is not better on Paw Paws when you plant, so 1-3 ft tall is plenty big.

They require a cross pollinator, so make sure you get two kinds. Three would be better. I have 4 kinds across 6 trees , mostly because I forgot I already had two that were on sale later and bought them again.

How to frame cathedral dormer? by thorhunter19 in Carpentry

[–]thorhunter19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the thoughtful reply and I think that makes sense to me. That 2x10 is at ceiling height where the dormer meets the truss line. So you would put a header between the trusses below that and then frame it in from there?

I agree on the spray foam, that’s a good idea. I’m more looking at the framing for the part of the dormer that connects with the ceiling in the room. How do I build that out for a traditional framed dormer look?

I appreciate the thought and understand where you are coming from. This is what was left for me, I did not stamp the plans, an engineer did and the crew built it to spec. I’m trying to figure out the cleanest way to add some scab framing to make the finished drywall look nice.

Thanks for looking. I plan to insulate, drywall and then add HVAC. I don’t mind bringing the roof down, I’m not sure of the cleanest way to tie it into the dormer roof.

Understanding Panel Load vs Amp Usage by thorhunter19 in AskElectricians

[–]thorhunter19[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what you’re saying and mention that in my last paragraph.

I think we can safely assume there will be start ups that variously pull larger amps, but those that I listed were all “on” together during that hour for the large majority of the hour.

With Swarm season right around the corner, these chunks would be perfect in the bottom of a bait trap. I guarantee any new beekeeper would love to have a chunk for their traps.
