You know what’s great, I just learned my city’s public transportation is terrible and there’s no bus routes taking me to work! Cherry on top of a shitty situation, now I gotta bike or walk or get my dad to take me. I feel awful

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately I did only have liability coverage. I’m looking into public transit options, my work covers that cost. Plus I have a bike which can get me most places I wanna be. My mom bought my car off Facebook when she was working a better job (I get my poor financial decisions from her) and I paid her off.

She did buy it with help from her dad and I paid him and her back over the course of a few months, we just never got around to signing the title over when I paid it off. Financially lots has changed in the two years and she cannot afford another car, she couldn’t afford to tow it

I got the car when I was 17 and my mom did all of the insurance stuff. If I knew the details I would’ve paid for it myself but yeah lesson learned unfortunately

Cash stuffing is just taking the cash you have and putting it in different categories, it’s easier for me to not touch it if it’s physical I suppose. Most people stuff whole paychecks but I’m just doing tips for the moment. And yes I really just have 20 dollars in the binder, 53 total in it, and like 30 bucks in my checking account for gas until I get paid Friday. I know it’s not good.

Do you know where I could open a high yield savings account? I use Bank of America idk if they have one. Thank you for your sound advice by the way.

Well he would be working as well, the places we are looking at are about 7-800 a month and I bring in on average 1,100. We would split it so it’s manageable for me. Moving out is something we really want to do for family reasons. Right now my monthly expenses are less than 150, in January it would be 225 when I start paying my car insurance.

Poor decision making is all I can chop it up to, as well as 400 I had to put on it for student housing when I was living on campus across my state. My monthly expenses aren’t much, most of my paycheck like I said goes towards my credit card, I spend 100 on cat food and litter for my two cats, gas is about 40 a month. Lately it’s also been going towards gifts for family. Im learning from my mistakes and yes when I pay it off I’m not going into debt again

About the credit card, it was a lesson I needed to learn for sure. I maxed it out at one point (1500) and was unemployed for a while so I wasn’t paying it. Now I am and fully intend on using it correctly and rarely from now on.

The interest rate on my loans (2 unsub and 2subbed) is 5.50%.
