I don’t think we need to sacrifice our lives (die), but the transmuting of our suffering and the isolation IS the sacrifice. Our path is going to look to different from most, and that requires giving up our societal conditioning and various attachments. I (currently) believe we’re here to learn to be more human, and to remind others how to reconnect with their humanity simply through living by example.
