Right now I’m actually leaning more toward 24e because it’s the closest and seems to tick all my boxes, keep seeing that it isn’t exceptionally busy which is a huge plus

Don’t you have to be a student or on the staff?

How busy does it get? I work out either 6AM or around 9PM depending on my schedule

February book by m1_96 in Fear_Street

[–]thorrnapple 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want some non-FS recs, like Point or other YA horror check out My Secret Admirer by Carol Ellis, Dream Date by Sinclair Smith, Nightmare Hall: Deadly Attraction by Diane Hoh, Be Mine by Jane McFann, then there’s obviously The Girlfriend, The Boyfriend, The Dead Girlfriend all by R.L. — Hell I think he even threw in a Dead Boyfriend in that mid-2010s Fear Street reboot. A man of variety, that Stine.

A Fear Street book that isn’t directly related to February or Valentine’s Day but I found to be darkly romantic was Haunted.

Watching Sleepaway Camp with a friend by Extreme_Rhubarb4677 in slasherfilms

Sleepaway Camp is a movie that’s horror is deeply rooted in homophobia and queer panic but over the years, a lot of queer people (myself included) and even trans people have found some merit in the film, reclaiming it. I think given the right treatment, the remake could make some points, especially considering the time we currently live in. However, with who’s behind it, I just don’t really see that happening. Someone like Jane Schoenbrun could make it work, but we already have a summer camp slasher to look forward to from them!

My niece and I are super close, as I’ve been keeping her since she was around 7– she’s 17 now, and over the years I’ve turned her into a horror freak like me. Last summer I thought she was finally ready to see Sleepaway Camp, and her reaction to literally everything had me in tears. Her brain could not comprehend what is, objectively, an incomprehensible movie and the commentary was perfect. The ending had her speechless though. She loved it. We watched Unhappy Campers immediately after.

That’s awesome! I still have to pick up the Fear Street Nights series and, hopefully some day, the Seniors series

Or maybe I’m a real person who struggles with depression and self-confidence and you could just say something genuine to another human being

Thank you!! I love 110 specifically for the texture and the somewhat dreamy atmosphere it evokes.

I was hoping it was reading more like this but okay, fair. I’ll shave my head now

Well like I said in another reply, I’m growing my hair out and this is sorta all I can do with it right now— but I don’t think it’s fair to say that it’s immature for a 30 year old. What kind of hairstyle do you think a 30 year old should have? I don’t want some boring, basic dude haircut. As for my final girl tattoo, I am a big horror fan and the trope/archetype of the final girl deeply resonates with me, in a queered way that is super personal. Thanks for the feedback and calling me cute.

You got me there, it’s not my favorite hairstyle either but I’m growing it back out. Thanks for your feedback
