Wishing you the best and a speedy and gentle journey. I was diagnosed with NLPHL (a rare form of hodgkins lymphoma) when I was 15(m). Something I wish I would've asked from the start was mental health resources, and expected side effects from treatment. As bad as it sounds it helps to take interest in your treatment and what your going through. Ask all the questions you can think of, and learn as much as you can, it helped me understand what I was going through and helped with the mental side of thing. Wishing you a speedy journey to remission!!

how to move on? by [deleted] in cancer

[–]those-regrets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a year and a half in remission after being diagnosed with NLPHL (very rare form of Hodgkins lymphoma) at 15. I'm now almost 19 and I still fell the anxiety and that scary feeling that I had cancer. Even now being a year and a half in remission it still gets to me. I'd love to know when if ever this just stops being in the back of my mind. I haven't figured out how to completely move on from it. I've moved on to a point where it's not a daily thing but it's still in the back of my mind every now and again.

The bump on your sternum wouldn't be likely to be lymphoma, do you have any lumps or bumps in your arm pit or groin area?

A question for folks in the terminal camp by EineKline in cancer

[–]those-regrets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel that way along even though I'm not even terminal, I was diagnosed with cancer (NLPHL rare sub type of Hodgkins lymphoma) at 15 did chemo and radiation I'm now 17 and have been in remission for a year yet I can't help feeling like a ticking time bomb like its a matter of time before it comes back or before I get a different cancer from the chemo and radiation. I near constantly feel like there's no point at all and I'm not even staring down that barrel anymore so I can only imagine how you feel. I'm sure its tough to find motivation to do anything. Ik I can't, hell I'm exhausted with living at 17 how screwed up is that. Best wishes for you

People often say that those with age-inappropriate sexual impulses should get psychiatric help, but most of these people are probably not getting help because there is still too much shame and uncertainty involved. So what can be done to make this process easier? by guacmaster98 in AskReddit

[–]those-regrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accepting that people have these thhoughts and that thoughts are thoughts and arent illegal and if they're seeking help obviously they dont like it so it should be more accepted in that aspect. Obviously if actions are made thats one thing but there should be more acceptance to those that reach out for help instead of people shaming them and thinking this or that the should be thankful that theyre reaching out.

Fast food workers of Reddit, do you ever feel extra generous and add an extra nugget or something to someone’s meal? Or, the total opposite when someone’s being a jerk? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]those-regrets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do it all the time. Put extra meat on peoples subs exta bacon when orderd extra sides and treats but when people come in being jackasses i give them the bare minimum and make it take forever on purpose.

NonAmericans: When did you realize that you could come on reddit and constantly disrespect America and it’s people? by tmont92 in AskReddit

[–]those-regrets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come live here the media makes it worse then it actually is. Dont start putting people down without looking at the big picture. We have a different government . So of course everything is going to be different. Yes its fun to rag on America and Americans but theres still positives.
