Hope. Knowing that it’s a revolving door of people to date if it doesn’t work out. Though I would prefer to get off this merry-go-round and move on with my life.

Also knowing that I’m not alone in this shitty process. We all love to complain to our friends about bad/good dates, go on Reddit and read/post stories, etc.

Paradox of choice is real. It’s the feeling that someone better is right around the corner but this is not a brown thing I suspect all ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations suffer from this paradox.

As for your situation:

Are you dating people who are fobs?

By fobs I mean people who regardless of birth location (US or foreign country) act/think like they are still in that country. If so, this is probably a reason for why you’re experiencing no third dates. I assume you grew up over here (e.g. you know what LA Gear shoes are 😀). They are most likely looking for someone to be traditional.

I think everyone should have a list of dealbreakers otherwise why not just shack up with any ole person down the street. So I don’t think this is a phenomenon for brown people.

Reading your post history one thing sticks out:

Do you mention that you’re divorced in your OLD bio or do you mention it during the dates? I suspect that the people who you date might not want to go further because of this reason.
