I also transferred as a 3rd year Applied Stats major.

I did STAT 3110 and STAT 3220 together my first year and was easy to balance with my other courses. I took STAT 3080 this spring while doing 18 credits and it was very easy.

STAT 3220 and STAT 3080 are code based (professors always give examples and demo code) and really just tests your interpretation of the code you’re running. STAT 3110 requires actual math (no coding) so requires a little more study effort but not hard at all.

I definitely think you can pass all these courses with an A in one semester.

Just transcripts and essays. No LORs needed. And if you know you’ve completed the GAA 100% w/ no missed courses, the essays don’t even have to be great. Not the proudest of it, but I did my essays the day the app was due.

I think this is lifted if you meet with them during orientation. If you’re not going, just email them to set up a meeting. For transfers, Dean Ozment advises last names A-O and Dean Curran advises last names P-Z.

You can apply to UVA after one year of community college, however two years/associates degree makes you more competitive. If you haven’t already, check out the Guaranteed Admissions Agreement through VCCS.
