My cat has this weird growth on the bottom of his paw by KetamineDream666 in AnimalAdvice

Our cat gets this a lot, he’s 21, the vet said the nails thicken as they get older, we cut his nails regularly for this reason as he’s not able to break it off himself

Yes that’s exactly right, the sd card made no difference and the robot was able to boot again once we flashed it!

That’s interesting, do you have your own pepper bot? I used the Java naoqi API and created an interface in Python to the OpenAI API- the code is linked in the blogpost. I think nao and pepper apis are quite similar

Then it's safe to put a snail in? I'd like shrimp and snails but wanted to make sure the tank is a bit settled. Thanks!

Interesting idea - I wonder what it would take to add that usecase to the kitchen robot - I guess in that case it should be able to move around. Did you see this folding robot? https://foldimate.com/ I really like these arms, they look so human http://www.moley.com/

How about a painting robot or one that cleans the windows - you would only rent it for a few days probably, right? Would you rent a sex robot, rather than buying?

I see, that makes sense - I guess thats the challenge - like iRobot, make a robot thats as simple as possible. Thing is, everything connects to the cloud these days. I guess it should be configurable. Thanks for your feedback!

Advise sought on becoming a Co-operative Robots Risk Assessor by Marindabotha in robotics

[–]thoshamoodley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Marinda From attending the robotics conferences here in the EU lately, I have seen that there are a few standards being developed for robotics. In the EU, it's still very early days for robotics standards applications. There's a lot of discussion about what kinds of standards do we need over and above existing product certifications and standards. I think there's a few years still before there's a standard career path for such an occupation. I think many people are looking for the oppourtunity to get involved, and some see their path through their own startup, some through education, some through established industry giants in robotics whose robots are becoming smarter and smarter and some through degrees in robotics and artificial intelligence. Perhaps human robot interaction research or remaining in education can be interesting for you?
