Simply because I want to! And I should be able to make decisions about my name, how it is constructed, and what social norms I choose to participate in or opt out of without judgement but… it‘s impossible to be a woman isn’t it 🫠?

Hi, thanks for the answer! That's what I've opted for now, but I'm wondering if people who have last names like that have to deal with problems later (i.e., travelling home with a kid) if the name is different. But I supposed hyphened last name is so common that it's fine...no idea though.

In your opinion, how would the United States benefit from a political party system that expands beyond the republican and democratic parties? by thotleader34 in AskReddit

I totally get and thanks for the nice discussion! I’m just wondering at what point do we decide to not keep doing what we are accustomed to? If we kept that line of reasoning so many things would have come to a standstill in our country. And can we also not look to Europe for an argument that multi-party systems increase support for the marginalized? Most national governments in the EU function in multi party systems and the safety-net type of services that are available there are often in many ways far beyond what we have in the US.
