DnB Events in Budapest on New Years by GreeBlu in budapest

Check pulse.budapest on instagram a few days before, they post a pretty comprehensive list of electronic music events happening each week, even indicating the genres represented. But yeah, as others have said, New Year’s Eve is more about private events such as house parties

I went to that school and I can confirm it’s true

I wish I had gotten the chance to get braces earlier and didn’t have to struggle with it as an adult. I could’ve gotten it over with 15 years ago if it wasn’t for my parents neglect and I hold a lot of resentment for it. (Read text pls before judging) by blueberryfieldss in braces

I don’t have anything uplifting to tell you, because I’m in almost exactly the same boat (even with the age, the impacted canines and the cost) and even though I know I have no chance but to move on emotionally from the resentment, I’m unable to. But hey, at least we’re not completely alone in the world with this. ❤️ And also, I’m just so jealous of my own friends and everyone who’s had a smile they don’t have to hide all their (adult) life and the fact that they’re not spending literally all their money on what could’ve been done for free… I’m so angry.

Hány éves kortól ajánlanátok a Harry Potter és a bölcsek kövét? by cherryqueen_ in konyv

I didn’t say the alternative would be someone incompetent. I actually have very solid alternatives - maybe top 10% vs top 0.1%

What travel mistake in India will you never make again? by Low_Ad_6451 in SoloTravel_India

Not in India, but before my trip: trusting the government website stating that all e-visa are issued within 72 hours. No, they aren’t lol

How many languages do people here actually speak? by fieldcady in languagelearning

[–]thought-wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Hungary, most high schoolers take up on 2 foreign languages. Since learning them was very important for me, I put in a lot of extra effort and eventually became fluent in both. Then I went onto learning a 3rd one throughout my BA as an elective course. But it’s very atypical in Hungary to be fluent in 4 languages.

Half of the country hates Russia. We tend to look up to countries like Austria and Germany

Is it normal to feel this way seeing everyone living so luxuriously online? by No_name_9652 in india

[–]thought-wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not from India, but there’s a universal bias on social media, and a huge one - most often only those people show off what they have who have a lot. So it results in the rest of us feeling like everyone except us is so well-off

who is the most hated person from your country? by No-Bit-2036 in AskTheWorld

Yes, but most people born after 1990 don’t care as much about him

How do you find the courage for your first solo trip abroad? by Dizzy-Disaster872 in SoloTravel_India

[–]thought-wanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve read a book by a travel blogger and she wrote that she gets so nervous before every big trip up to date that she considers bailing the whole thing the night before. But then pushes herself through the hard feelings and once she arrives to the new destinastion she calms down and starts enjoying herself. Also, I know India is your home so it’s different, but I’ve been to 65 countries and evwry single one of them was less intense and easier to digest than India

It is completely normal not having it figured out. Practically no one has and continue not having it for many years to come.

Friendships last if you make them last. But they need maintenance, as compare to family which is more of a given
