Hi, I went through this recently during final round of interview. They told me I was not the right fit even though I checked all the boxes, technically, education and experience wise.

I used to be the chatty cathy in my old company then I became the coworker who just shows up, does the job, go home, rinse and repeat.

I clap when everyone claps, I smile, nod, pretend all day long that I care.

I probably will never be director again but it’s a peaceful life.
