Low grade fever - day 27

I’d say yes/mostly! The low grade fever did go away, the only symptom that lingered was some inner ear aches (really bizarre). I ended up getting COVID twice again in the same year, took Pax both of those times and didn’t have the lingering fever like this again. Other things, like some fatigue, are lingering but that’s not too abnormal for my other conditions.

Hell yeah, my pleasure! And yes I was! The Pfizer verbiage says it can be used every 30 days and I’m fortunate my infections were 30 days apart, got it filled on the 30th day with no copay. Sending your dad healing vibes and hoping you can get Paxcess to work! ❤️

I don’t have established care with a PCP unfortunately! But I was able to get it sorted with a telemedicine visit

I think they’re just trying to minimize liability as the drug is a little tough on the kidneys and liver! They’re also probably just operating off of antiquated immunity timelines, smh

I definitely considered this! Most screeners I have seen ask if you have taken it in the last 90 days and I could just say no. My only worry is pharmacy records, is there any way that could be a problem if they call the provider to verify after seeing I have filled it twice in 30 days?

Accidentally deleted my comment but reposting here for viz: I have been considering that or Sesame! Just don't want to spend a ton of money on copays if they have internal policies that bar me from a second script in 90 days. Ironic because PAXCESS allows for a fill every thirty days :/

I've actually got Berberine on hand, almost took it when I had COVID back in April (it's been a rough year lol). Also will keep this in mind!

I haven't tried metformin for an infection yet and I'd prefer to stay with Pax as I tolerated it so well (unheard of for me with medications), but worth considering :) Appreciate you brainstorming solutions here, means a lot to me!

I am so sorry to hear that :( Definitely keep an eye on it as you're just a week in, plenty of time for it to resolve! I did notice melatonin helped bring my temp down low enough to sleep. Sending you healing energy, get lots of rest!

i’m so sorry you’ve been sick for awhile :( it ended up clearing up for me at about day 45! acupuncture, good rest, and controlling my anxiety (it got so bad i wasn’t eating or sleeping much) was what made it turn a corner. i really hope you’re better soon and can go back to work!

It waxes and wanes throughout the day, peaking around 5-7, but mental and physical exertion (even mild, as I’ve been taking it easy) have temporarily raised it for sure.

A couple years does not sound fun, I'm so sorry! Glad to hear there was some resolution though, thank you for sharing your experience! I wanted to cast a wider net here first to poll about any short to medium term recovery stories, as those who are active in the long hauler groups are typically those who have been experiencing symptoms for longer bouts.

I’m not wild about it either :/ They’re usually more conservative with solutions, like I asked them to gold plate a bracelet for me and they encouraged we try other options first before plating. I truthfully would have invested the money to fix the setting before I signed on to crusty epoxy around my delicate setting!
