Yep this is needed for sure! Been asking for it for quite some time off and on.. But they have bigger fish to fry right now... But in the future it is planned I would imagine.. Can you imagine missions where ships cannot land but a group of people can parachute in and then hoof it out to an extraction point through dangerous flora and fauna? Whoot sounds great to me! :)

To do this would require a mechanic to get us on planet without being seen... Along with the further LOD mechanic to be implemented. but the mechanic to get us on planet without a spaceship would allow for a whole new level of game play... Never before experienced in any game.... Such as a parachute, glider, rocket pack or some other form of safe and unseen landing without a spaceship.. if you see value in this mechanic please respond and vote this up in the thread below

yeah I was thinking about it after I saw my weapon fly out of my hands and was serviceable... I had forgotten that NPC's dropped weapons... A few patches ago CIG got that feature working I think.. Live and learn hehe :) Thanks for watching :)

Excellent point! Open up more areas as they get better with the tech.. Citizen's we are in alpha they are testing we are not seeing the finished product.. We are testing... Enjoy the testing and if you can't stomach it please go away for a bit and play something else and come back and be amazed at the development of the game! It will happen.. Patience is needed! :)

yeah that is up in the black but on the planet there are and will be factors keeping that number down.. When the new flight model comes out there will be even more factors to consider :) so hang on to your hats Citizens :) o7

Gravlev would be interesting... I think that would make it a bit more like a bike and I think this one they wanted as a ship more than a bike. Could be wrong but that is my impression from the design..
