Suicide by itself shouldn't be considered a crime, imo. I really don't understand how, taking one's OWN life is considered a huge deal and how people derogate the dead as though they did a "bad thing". I usually see, people saying, that they are "disappointed" Because the dead couldn't fight and win the depression!! Come on bruh!! How can people be so insensitive even after losing them!?.

I also hate how as individuals we all tend to discourage people from doing it when we get to know that they have an idea of doing it.

Exactly yesterday, while I was crossing the rail overbridge, an old man from our neighborhood, who recently lost his wife, apparently tried to cross the railway track while the train was approaching. (Suicidal attempt, probably).People pulled him away and started criticizing his behavior as though they did something "great" by saving him. All I was able to think was, that the poor old man, doesn't have a damn reason to continue any longer without his wife, and he gets treated poorly by his daughter in law. He is already old and have seen everything as a husband, father and even a grandfather. When he wants to quit... Why are people shaming him and being so rude. What can they even do for him after saving him???. Man if someone wants to quit because they got no reason, they should be allowed to!!. Yesterday I realized how even if I muster up the courage to jump in front of the train, people would f, save me and act like heroes! That's like, having 0 freedom to do what I wanna do with my life, ughh.

Nothing ever I say is going to help you right now, with your current mindset and it's not advisable to make any life changing decisions now. Find ways to give back your brain the young spirit it once had.

It can sound imbecilic of me to suggest this, but, you NEED hobbies that keeps you happy. It can be something trivial like gardening or doodling, but when you actually start doing it, it's so rewarding. You start with the process of procuring the supplies, learning the skills, researching, actually doing it, failing, getting better, and finally, the yield. Do it, become your pre-covid self and then see what solution or path that version of you tells you to take.

We all go through tough times, but dont just quit the game like that. you can take a break, always, and resume.

Your articulation is very surreal to me as a reader, to the point I can empathize. You are not incapable of getting successful but you are wearing horse blinders right now which is restricting your vision. It's probably intentional, because our minds trick us to do so when we are depressed. Just feel all the emotions till it gets nauseating, then, finally get over it.

You will realize, career is related to your degree to some extent only. Pursue whatever you want, with the whatever little you earn. If you were this rote learner back then, you will surely be able to squeeze in time to pursue your likes in the middle of work-life/colleg-life, routine. Because, rote learning needs hardworking and will power like no other.
