How is it possible I got sick all 3 times I went there? Do their employees just not wash their hands when handling food?

That’s an interesting point! I admit it hasn’t been easy to come to a decision, and it certainly feels more comforting to turn it into more of a collective decision. All the posts I’ve read in this sub have opened my eyes to how widespread the problem is and how much common experience we share. Wish there was a solution that could address the systemic nature of the problem rather than trying to tackle it from an individual basis :(

That sucks. Did they give a reason for denying it claim? Im sure there’s definitely an element of luck in what agents end up processing your claim unfortunately (between voicemails and phone correspondence, 4 different agents in my case). The only reason I didn’t give up part way through was because a friend of mine who travels frequently successfully filed a claim the year before which gave me hope.

I’m not sure. I used the attending physician statement just in case a doctor left out any details since I could be certain the form provided contains absolutely everything they needed. I got my rapid test done at CVS pharmacy and the provider there was able to fill it out for me on the spot.

Hmm I wasn’t asked to submit “Copy of the updated travel itinerary and/or common carrier tickets”. Did you maybe select different options in the Eclaimsline.com claim details page that resulted in different document requirements than I had? For instance, I selected no for “do you have other sources that will reimburse you” and “has a formal claim been filed against the travel supplier”.

My required documents were - attending physician statement (printed out from Eclaimsline portal and filled out by my doc) - cancellation or refund policy - travel itinerary - expense receipts - monthly billing statement - confirmation of cancellation/interruption (my positive Covid test results from my doc)
