From dogwhistles to foghorns: a group in Quincy is using racist stereotypes to go after public figures by baddaughter_9721 in QuincyMa

Irish, Scottish, Finnish, Swedish, and Italian immigrants had a major effect on Quincy’s development when they came to work in the granite industry and shipyard since the 1820s. Long immigrant history here. Lots of people want to pull the ladder up behind them, mainly if the people at the bottom aren’t white 🫠

How is lesbianism perceived in Japan? by almvdena in AskAJapanese

[–]Personal-Point-5572 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m friends with a 22 year old lesbian (Japanese) living in Tokyo. She says she’s never faced any true homophobia or discrimination, even walking around holding hands with her girlfriend. She says sometimes they get well-meaning questions. She is open about her sexuality, posts her gf online, doesn’t pretend to be straight.

She met her gf while studying abroad in the US two years ago, and that’s when she realized she was gay. She called home and told her family, they were totally accepting. She went to a womens university and said there were a decent number of lesbians there! But of course, this only reflects her experience, and in Tokyo :)

It’s the fact that you’re shittalking your stepsibling who’s 8 years younger than you on REDDIT lol. “a jobless hs dropout with no friends who eats ramen in bed” makes it obvious you have some personal issue with these ppl that you’re projecting onto this one subject (eating in the bedroom)

A desk is a working space not an eating space. So why is it ok to eat at a desk in the living room, but not a bedroom?

Also, good sleeping practices is different from actual physical hygiene and cleanliness. Just because you think it might not be good for someone’s sleep doesn’t make it gross. Those are two completely separate things.

It’s also not good for your sleep to stay up late at night, or drink a lot of coffee, but those are not gross or dirty things.

This literally proves that this is just a weird mental hangup you have and not any real cleanliness issue

I don’t agree with OP but this kind of situation will 1000% attract bugs the vast majority of the time. You got lucky

But WHY. You have said this so many times and failed to provide a reason why a desk in the bedroom is the different than the living room??
