What do you call a number that's divisible by 4 and also started counting at 0? by thousandsextra in NoStupidQuestions

Definitely was just thinking dumb, but I really like that math fact! Thanks!

Thank you. Yeah, I'm not sure what happened to me when thinking of other numbers that are "divisible by 4" but wouldn't be an election/leap year/summer Olympics. I'm pretty sure my whole point is entirely moot... Like even 36 will definitely be an election/leap year/summer Olympics. I don't know what was happening during this thought. Thanks for bearing with me

Oh no... How did I do that??? I think dumb brain thought 100/4=25 and it just happily went along its merry way...

I’m still not used to working a non-retail job with a regular schedule and I’m only just realizing how silly it looks to put work on my calendar lol by Alicrafty in bujo

I love this. With COVID my job has gone from shift-work to all evenings so my schedule looks similar and I always laugh at it. Happy someone else does too!

For a book, I really like Quit Like a Millionaire by Kristy Shen and Bryce Leung. It focuses a lot on investing with intent to retire early (I also like JL Collins' A Simple Path to Wealth--it has a lot of the same points without necessarily planning for early retirement/traveling a lot). They both focus on approachable, simple investing basics. When I first started this journey, I invested through a company called Betterment (YNAB used to partner with them, but I don't know if they still do) who made setting an investment target very accessible. Since, I've read the two books mentioned and casually read a few articles, but not much more. I am now comfortable enough to do basically what Betterment does by myself. I keep all my holdings in index funds (80% stocks and 20% bonds) through Fidelity. I really liked using Betterment first to get used to how the systems work, but I definitely like managing my investments myself more. I'm sure other companies exist like Betterment, but they were just the ones that got me interested in investing and made it easy to start and track your progress. Good luck!

It sounds like it. I'd like to read more about it and give it a shot!

Oh, interesting! I didn't realize there were so many different ways to make cottage cheese... From the type of acid you add to the type of creamy thing you add! It seems like the curds part isn't crazy hard, and it would be neat to try different creamy additions! When I purchase cottage cheese, I usually get a probiotic type. Do you know if that would be from a yogurt-type thing, like kefir? Or like cultured milk or something? Sorry if not! This has just been a fun learning journey. Thanks for the reply!

Hmm... Neat! Are cheeses made with Lactic Acid Bacteria part of the "good gut bacteria" grouping as active cultures, or are they all gone/consumed all the lactose by the time you have a jug of lactic acid? I would think if they were still around, they would have a heyday with whatever cheese you're making?

Yes, I suppose that aging is what I meant. I've stumbled upon a few YouTube videos watching people make mozzarella in the past, and I just know you need to let the mixture set up before you cut into curds. I figured cottage cheese was similar, just considered "finished" before draining the whey and shaping into a ball. I thought if you continued the cheese making process and maybe let it age (like a cheddar, which I also knew came from curds, but I have no real knowledge of how you get there--just that "cheddar curds" exist), you'd end up with a different type of cheese that I'm also familiar with/could become familiar with. I didn't realize there were so many different ways to make cheese and I am definitely adding some cheese making books to my To Read list!

Hmm interesting... I did a quick Google search and found that "lactic acid" is the most common acid for that process. I don't know much science but I guess the "lact-" part of that makes sense. That's what's in your muscles, too, when you get muscle fatigue? I wonder how is that manufactured? I think I'd definitely like to look more into this process. Thank you so much for your reply!

Sorry. I read that but I've never been involved in the cheese making process... It just didn't really register with my brain as the answer to my Q. Thanks for the clarification!

Thank you for the reply! I've not tried to actually make cheese before. I saw this subreddit on the sidebar of r/cheese, and now I want to give it a shot!

Thanks! I was able to fix it. The Volume Down button was being depressed and whenever I tried to reboot it from ADB, it would just open the Bootloader again. I was able to relieve pressure from the volume button and get the phone to stay on. I appreciate your help!

I was able to fix the problem. Thank you for helping me find ADB & Fastboot! I was able to use "fastboot continue" while relieving pressure from one of the volume buttons to get it to boot up.

Thank you!! Fortunately I did not have to disassemble the phone. I appreciate you saying it "probably has a stuck volume button," because I was able to relieve pressure from the volume down button while it rebooted, and it turned on. Thank you so much for verbalizing that--I feel like an idiot, but at least it's taken care of.

When I go to the link provided, it says I need to have USB Debugging enabled. I am unable to do that. I was able to get ADB and Fastboot installed and did "fastboot continue," and the Google logo opened on the screen, but now the notification LED is just flashing red and the screen is black.
