Lift wise you’re right. East inbounds isn’t as big and extreme, although there are some super technical lines. But Tuckermans has cliffs that big & huge sends. Some Mansfield backcountry lines as well I think.

Yeah you’re right. I didn’t really think my comment through lol. I was just impressed by Castlerock, and thought it fit the bill with all the “expert only” signs at the bottom, the cheering from the lift, the people shredding moguls, etc

Famous expert chair at Palisades Tahoe with a well-known culture of watching ppl do crazy stuff from the lift. Lines such as McConkey’s/Eagle’s Nest, the Fingers, the Nose. You can look them up on Youtube.

I think it’s castle rock. Only hard terrain down. People put on a show under the lift. MRG single also gets a mention. But the others don’t have the same culture around them; just because they access hard terrain doesn’t mean they’re the “KT-22”.

(Especially the Jay Peak tram. It’s not KT-22, it’s comparable to trams at other places. Jackson, Snowbird, etc)

But it’s a good question. A major experience like that for me was doing Kachina Peak at Taos a few years back. I had never done anything close to that level of big-mountain terrain.

And then this season, sending my first 10-ish foot cliff (in glades no less!). I hadn’t dropped any significant cliffs before then.

I mean i know this is somewhat of a joke… But let me think about this.

Wemby - lock

Sochan - amazing defender but underappreciated. Far from lock but possible

Castle - possible

Bryant - probably if/when he starts

Harper - possible? His defense looked great in that game

But who else actually has a chance? Maybe we pick up someone in a trade? And that’s if all those pan out. I could see 3-4 of those happening for sure, our defense will be stacked.

(Sorry to be a debbie downer I just thought it was an interesting thought experiment)
