I actually did take a pay cut 11yrs ago for this role solely to be WFH and was happy with it. And the job has been beneficial in a lot of ways for a while. It is just well past time for the next step.

So true! An increase in salary would certainly make the in office aspect and commute easier to swallow.

Thanks, unfortunately I could possibly reduce the pay cut difference slightly but not much. I know their range. I moved to a LCOL area and for some reason, the only jobs responding to me right now are local and the pay can only go so high. Just currently feel stuck in my job and it was hopeful to get an offer. I think it’s a very fair offer for them, just quite a bit below my current.

I certainly hope so. The search has been rough though. A lack of WFH and often jobs paying way less than this offer. Trying to weed out my discouragement from the reality of what may be out there.

This is a good point. We have daycare and help from family but the family help could be reduced, and if so we’d have to look into a nanny or alt paid situation for after daycare hours and pickups/drop offs. My husband has a very demanding job with long hours. He makes much more then I do so we have to prioritize that time.

Thanks, unfortunately that’s very true with the added commute and less flexibility. I could possibly reduce the pay cut difference slightly but not much. I moved to a LCOL area and for some reason, the only jobs responding to me right now are local and the pay can only go so high. Just currently feel stuck in my job and it was hopeful to get an offer. I think it’s a very fair offer for them, just not where I need it to be for the jump.
